  Overrated and over priced

  Rudeness of the front desk staff. Room was dated, sink was cracked, sanity issues, tub was designed for very small people, had o stand side ways to take a shower. Room was not cleaned on the last day, when I asked the desk about it, I was told that new guests checking in had a priority, best we could do was get clean towels, no service. Will not stay here again and will all to avoid do to lack of service. Paid for service that was not received. The bar service food was cold and late, 1/2 hour and there were only 2 couples in the room. This was not the experience that I had come to expect from the Clarion Brand, will now look at other hotels for future stays

  Outdated, Dirty, upgrades needed.

  We booked a room for 1 night. Stayed there before, even had our Family Reunion there years ago and to our surprise it still looked the same. Has not been upgraded in years. The pool could not used because of fecal matter...mold was in our bathroom and on the shower mat, the carpet, walls and chairs in the room were filthy. We did speak with management but nothing was done. Will not stay again until they make some drastic improvements.

  Dusty and dated

  This place should really take some of the $$$ they are raking in from federal employees staying here during mandatory training or conferences and renovate the place. The main positive of staying here is that the staff is very nice. There is apparently a shuttle to get in to town, but it was never there when I wanted to go into central Shepherdstown. It is a fairly easy walk (just make yourself as visible as possible at night and watch out for cars as there is no sidewalk on the main road).

  One Night Stay for Visit to Antietam Battlefield

  Traveling in our RV, we stayed for 1 night since we could not get advance reservations in local RV parks. Plenty of space for our RV. Room on the first floor was clean and quiet. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Room was $135/ night. We had dinner in the restaurant, which was busy. Food was very good.

  Can't get a response from the hotel because no one is working in this place. No response from Mgmt.

  We placed a $1,000 deposit for a wedding venue on 2018 for a Wedding to take place on 2020. We received a cancelation from the clarion because of Covid. We rescheduled for Nov 2020. The Hotel canceled again the second time. So rescheduled again for June 2021. I called again, no one working in this place because now of renovation. I called headquarters up for at which time they advised me that this place won't be open until Aug. and they had no record of us. At this time I am out $1000 for a deposit with no one to comunicate with, Clarion tried to call them and they couldn't even get a answer. Sent email to management, no response. Looks like Lawyer time for fraud.
