  Disappointing

  We stayed here for just one night. It is disappointing that the hotel no longer has a dining room. The breakfast looked promising at around seven dollars for a hot breakfast buffet. However, our advice would be to go early as after 9 am there was hardly any bacon or scrambled eggs left and what was there was cold. Slightly disconcerting to be sitting eating and all the breakfast buffet was being cleared up at 9:15 (the breakfast was supposed to be open until 9:30) The bar was slightly off putting for as tourists only opening at 4:30 pm and 7 pm being full of folks cussing and worse. They did stop when asked by the barman but for a hotel was not a great advert. Outside there was just one table with an umbrella to enjoy your drinks. The bed was comfortable but the sheets felt damp and we therefore did not have a great night sleep.

  This place is terrible

  This place needs a complete overhaul. The ceiling tiles are all water stained; the walls are dirty and stained and scratched. Its just in bad shape. My room: could not see out the window because it was fogged over because the seal had popped. There was mildew grown around the wallpaper seams; the wallpaper was pinned to the wall with tacks. 2 Large black hairs on the bed. The Hotel: there was a broken chair that sat in the hallway for 2 days; the drop ceiling in the hallways is all stained, taped, broken - none of the side door remote entrance card readers work; the entrance lamps out front are broken off the wall; even the curb painting looks like it was done by my 4 year old. Dont stay here.

  I've paid more for less quality

  While I've only been here since 9 or 10 PM (it's 6.22 AM) I am surprised how nice this hotel is and how clean the rooms are. HD TV,clean fridge, comfy bed, microwave, digital clock that I plugged my phone into for some tunes; no complaints regarding the room. Free Wi-Fi and newspapers, plenty of complementary items like toothbrushes toothpaste razors shower caps sewing kits Combs shaving cream etc, the usual toiletries available on demand. No room service to speak of besides vending machines and a breakfast area. Nice gym area and inside and outside pool and a very small bar summed up the first Floor. I accidentally let the room door close behind me after showering;in my pajamas without my room key I approached thefront desk and after some pleading and convincing and confirming my GF was indeed whos name the room was under, the front desk gave me another card to get back in. It took some convincing but I appreciated their efforts to make sure the guests and their property are safe and secure. Had I not known my gf's detailed info, it's clear I would be spending the next few hours in the lobby until she got back. I was looking forward to the standard included Continental breakfast offered by most hotels but found that it costs 7 dollar extra. That being said, it was a very nice buffet and given the quality of the room Coupled with the discounted rates, 7 dollars was well worth it. All in all after the finished renovations and a switch in management this place has definitely stepped its game up and is becoming par the course for most Clarion hotels.

  No Frills Quiet hotel

  Don't get me wrong, this is a very basic hotel. Nothing fancy, nothing special. However, every time I stay there it is quiet and clean. The fitness center is open 24/7 which is nice because I like to work out early when no one else is up.

  First and last time.

  I have never stayed at a choice hotel before and only chose this one because of its proximity to my destination. I was very unhappy when I arrived and found that the toilet didn't flush properly, the mini fridge didn't work, there was no outlet on one side of the bed, the toilet paper holder had clearly been ripped from the wall and attached right above it. The mattress had a human sized indent on one side of it, making it very uncomfortable to sleep on. And there was an eyelash behind the night stand. There was no do not disturb sign in my room when I arrived so the next morning when leaving I asked the front desk to let housekeeping know that we didn't want service. When we returned, housekeeping had entered our room and moved our things. Exactly what I had asked for them not to do. Upon arrival, the front desk attendant was very cold and not welcoming at all. Overall, this was a very unpleasant stay. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. If this is what Choice hotels are like, I'll stick with Marriott and Radisson.
