  Fantastic Stay in safe environment.

  We stayed at the Clandeboye Lodge for 3 nights for a wedding at the beginning of October. The whole experience was great, staff very friendly, helpful and welcoming and we felt very safe during these strange Covid times. We ate in the restaurant on 2 nights, all the meals were tasty and the breakfasts set us up for the day. Would highly recommend. .

  Warm, welcoming and full of Irish charm

  What a lovely place with comfortable rooms and luxurious bathrooms - the food was outstanding and the staff were fabulous particularly Ryan who was so helpful and welcoming - we shall definitely come back!

  My Awesome Covid Wedding

  In my search for the right wedding venue I needed somewhere for the perfect backdrop to my moody autumnal wedding that exuded a hygge vibe, where all my guests could relax and enjoy the cosy ambience of the venue. Clandeboye Lodge Hotel was the perfect modern and eclectic venue for my Black-Tie wedding. The Blackwood Suite provides an intimate ceremony room with incredible wooden ceiling beams, brick walls and large arched window. We had our meal in the Viceroy Suite upstairs with the beautiful brick wall which was very intimate and allowed for a powerpoint speech the grooms father had made. The Events Team were so flexible and supportive during this difficult time and provided me with options to ensure I was able to make the most out of my day given the Covid-19 restrictions. I could not have had a better day my guests commented on how they didnt miss the dancing and they were able to relax and not worry about Covid-19 as Clandeboye had so many safety precautions put in place. We had options to sit around the fire pit outside, the lounge inside or around the cosy fire in the foyer. The Events Team were quick to respond to my numerous queries. With Covid-19 restrictions having to be enforced I found Clandeboye were very sympathetic and helpful in suggesting different options regarding the ceremony and evening reception. I decided to have my evening reception downstairs after dinner so that the guests had the option to sit outside around the fire pit - which we had our first dance aorund. Clandeboye were incredibly organised to ensure the day ran as smoothly as possible. Due to the recent Covid-19 restrictions I had to change a few things last minute and Clandeboye were very patient with me whilst waiting for this information. My MC for the day was Natasha who was incredibly pleasant and especially supportive, patient, and flexible! The speeches ran along a bit late and she helped to quickly provide an alternative idea to ensure the food got out but ensure everyone still got to say their speeches. As the speeches ran on a bit long we shouldve finished the meals by the time dessert was being served, thanks to Natasha, the groom and I were able to leave after our main course for sunset photos and come back after everyone had finished their dessert to eat our own dessert during the rest of speeches. The Events Team allowed my best man to come down to the function room a couple of occasions the week before the wedding to practice the PowerPoint speech the grooms father had prepared as he couldnt attend due to Covid-19. The food was impeccable - not one complaint. Numerous guests commented on how much they loved their meal and said it was the best meal they have ever had at a hotel wedding. The canapes went down a treat, the dinner was delicious and the portions were very generous and we had great options for those with food allergies. Numerous guests commented on how delicious the supper was as well! The staff were well dressed in their uniforms and looked very presentable. The venue was incredibly clean, everywhere was immaculate inside the venue, hotel, restaurant and the grounds outside. Before entering the building there was clear signage on mask requirements, sanitizer availability and requests for social distancing. The staff have lovely masks to match their Clandeboye uniform and guests were seated in their bubbles throughout the evening - the guests commented on how safe they felt that they found it easier to relax and enjoy the evening. The bridal party stayed at the hotel the night before in two conjoining family rooms that were modern, clean, and very comfortable. It was so lovely to have breakfast with the party and just be able to relax and know that we could walk over the ceremony once we were all ready. The bridal suite was amazing, my husband commented how it was his favourite suite out of the three hotels we stayed in that week. The hotel has amazing style and décor and is just so comfortable. I would recommend Clandeboye Lodge Hotel in a heartbeat for any sort of function - they will take care of all your needs.

  On the terrace at the coq and bull

  My husband, myself and another couple dined at your outdoor terrace last night. We throughly enjoyed our experience! The terrace is fantastic! ....a real asset for the hotel! We didnt know what to expect, thinking, sitting outside in December wasn't going to be very pleasant but it was the opposite! The heaters were exceptional, the whole thing gave such an atmosphere and we weren't cold in the slightest. We felt like we were on holiday! We really enjoyed our night and food was fab as usual!

  Last minute treat

  I visited with my three- and eight-year olds as a last-minute treat. From my reservation phone call to Susan, to my check in with her, to the help she gave me with soggy shoes, to the restaurant staff - everyone really - it was a lovely experience. I so appreciate (especially as a single parent) when staff make the effort to talk to the kids like people and help me out when I'm maybe trying to do something at reception and each child has a different idea of where they want to go! Also, the dinner was gorgeous. The prawns were so fresh and I really appreciate a decent vege option.
