  Noisy and ant infested!

  The room came with marked, ripped and burnt curtains and bedding linen. The place was also crawling with ants, which the receptionist couldn't have cared less about. Luckily, the lighting in the room was so poor (a spotlight by the door and a weak up lighter by the bed) that you didn't realise how bad it is till daylight. The windows onto the street are the old single glazed type. (Two of the windows handles were broken.) Its a very noisy street even during the night, and made especially worse on the weekend by bikes and cars doing circuits, as they use it as an unofficial race track through out the night. Don't expect to get much sleep!

  Good location

  Location of the hotel is good and suitable for those who wish do do the sightseeing with walking.. Hotel cleanliness wise is abit poor especially the curtains and the bedsheets.. It's like bit been washed for ages

  Excellent location, no frills but clean

  I wasn't expecting much as it is a one star hotel. I just wanted a clean and comfy place to sleep as I know I would be spending most of my time out visiting the town. I was pleasantly surprised to find it clean and quite comfortable. We requested for a room away from the main road cos we read that those could be noisy. Our two nights there were pleasant and quiet. Room is not that big so if you do have large luggage, you might have a wee bit of a problem. The place also don't have a lift, so do take that into consideration. They do have rooms on the ground floor though. Rooms are provided with 2 in 1 coffee and kettle and two bottles of mineral water. They also have water dispenser on each floor. I was impressed that even toothbrushes were provided, Now the good part. The location is simply awesome. There are lotsa food stalls nearby. A mamak that opens till late (could be 24 hours) just down the street, if you wanna supper. Further down the road, there's a famous famous yue tiao. During the day, there's this pork lard popiah that's to die for (ask for Bunga Raya popiah). And after 5pm, the famous Longkang Siham is also just across the road, in an alley just next to this Kwong Wah Optical and Watch shop (hope I got the name right). Sit down on stools and order cockles, shellfish, toasted sotong all at very reasonable price. Also I was told the famous Bunga Raya or chien (oyster omelette) is nearby though we didn't get to try it this time. The hotel is also within walking distance to the river. Just next to the hotel is a huge pharmacy, if you need anything. So if you're just looking for a hot shower and clean beds at the end of the day, this is the place to come to! As for the ants that some reviewer mentioned, I did notice a few in the bathroom sink but it didn't bother me. They didn't stay long anyway. Also I must give a big shout out to the staff. My daughter left her watch behind on the bed when we checked out. I regret not asking her name, or the housekeeping staff who found the watch but we received a call after 10 mins of us leaving informing us that they have found the watch! How awesome is that??!! I would like to say a big big thank you!

  Perfect

  Everything is perfect Nice room and everything is clean. Inside room have TV, Good location Friendly staff can sleep will no noisy quite i like this Hotel!!! Just 5 minutes walking to jonker behind have indian restaurant only one thing there near by don't have ATM if you want

  Budget and friendly staff

  I was there during peak season, so when i arrived the room was not ready. Located near to many shops (local) and eating place/hawker centers. They have printer machine and water dispenser on every floor. No lift. Room clean and neat "overall". Some rooms has windows. The good things, they didn't ask me to pay the tourism tax. Can consider to stay there again for shopping at local shops.
