  A night in Cowra

  The staff at this place is friendly and willing to help and answer your questions and help in any way they can, the rooms are well kept and clean and they have been recently all been renovated and they have a pool and room to park trucks and cars of the street, it is also is very quiet in the rooms.

  Friendly Staff and Clean Room

  There were three main strengths and one minus at this motel. The first strong point was service. The staff were friendly and helpful. The second strong point was the newly renovated rooms. The motel now has a clean, fresh appearance since their recent facelifts. This is now a very comfortable place to stay. Thirdly, it was affordable, offering good value of money for this price point. On the down side, the wifi was only intermittently available. It was slow even when connection was possible. This was the only serious problem we encountered with this motel.

  Do Not Go Near It

  Miniscule rooms. Bathroom where you had to move sideways to dry yourself. Terribly noisy road. Only one small bedside table for 3 people. A joke squeezing a single bed in beside the double. Walked in & wanted to walk out.

  Cheap and Cheerful.

  We had an overnight stay in this older motel outside Cowra. It was basic but the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the water hot. There was tea making facilities but no toaster, crockery or cutlery. Its with walking distance of McDonalds and the information centre. Cowra is a town with a lot of history and lots to see. Id recommend a trip to the Info. Centre where the staff were friendly and helpful and there was a great hologram presentation of the Cowra POW prison breakout. We had a good meal at the local RSL.

  Non existent service. Go elsewhere.

  While on the surface this place might appear to be value for money, we found that the service from the manager was even cheaper than the price. In fact she, like her service was virtually non-existent. We booked it for the Saturday, based on reviews and price. The reception is locked up and you have to ring a number. Fair enough. Eventually the manager turns up and spruiks the value we are getting with our upgrade to a Family Room. The Family turned out to be a double and three singles jammed along a wall, with one side table and two chairs... So. The airconditioning didnt work. The tv remote didnt work. So I ring the manager, multiple times to voicemail, leaving messages including my number and we drive off to the gardens for an hour or so. Two hours later and no response from the motel manager, we decide we dont want to stay in a room with no heating and book another place. We head back to the motel to check out and chase for a refund. We arrive and the manager is wandering around the front. Hasn't listened to the voicemails, gives a lie about checking people in (I rang her from the phone at the reception door). We tell her that it wasn't good enough and after we left, rings to offer a refund. In cash. We'd paid on credit card. We agree to turn up at 10am the next morning for the refund. She still isn't answering the phone. I chat to the cleaners and according to them, 'she's usually in bed'. The money is eventually given to us not by the manager, but by a passive agressive male. Spend your money elsewhere in town for better rooms and service.
