    Honest Employees

I left my phone in the hotel and the staffs made efforts to find me. Amenities and services are satisfactory. We were able to use the pool (fix 6" depth and small one for kids), sauna (which we were able to stand for around 5mins only ), jacuzzi (which took forever to fill so you have to notify them atleast an hour before you go for a dip)

Worst hotel I have been to in the world!

First, the management is weak, doesn't do anything about complains and when you ask questions they say maybe, I'm not sure, we'll get the manager to help you (who never helps). They had a construction going on for days without giving notice to the people staying in the hotel and the didn't seem bothered about it. That have guests who make noise at night as the hotel has a very loud bar on the second floor which btw if you ever come here please don't sleep anywhere close to the second floor. It closes around 5 -6 pm. I had to move twice because of the noise. The worst management I have ever experienced. Weak and poor management. I am traveling for business so I need to work from my room and I am about to leave this s@*t hole! I can't handle not sleeping because of noise at night and not working because of noise during the day. Choose wisely, take something else for yourself.

    Where do I start?

For the last two months, I have been staying here whilst working in Fujairah. During my time here, I have only encountered problem after problem, and extremely poor customer service and support from the staff. All seemed to be going well, until one day I arrived back from work, to find that a member of Housekeeping had completely turned my kitchen upside down (moved everything around, and piled on top of each other into the corner of the room - Including expensive Music Equipment that specifially had a note left on it saying ''Please do not touch!''). When I asked why this had happened, the member of staff could not explain why. I was then told that I had to move rooms temporarily due to Electrical issues. I was expected by staff to just move on their demand, immediately - despite the fact that I have been living here almost 2 years, and therefore have a lot of things to move. They did not care - and expected it to be done on demand, after a hard day at work. Whilst moving my things from one room to another, I found that every time I went into one of the rooms, there was members of staff in the other, unoccupied room, hanging around. I asked them to leave as I was uncomfortable with this, but they did not. Upon returning to the old room, to move the items of food from my fridge - I opened the fridge door, and to my surprise - the food had gone!!! The same member of staff who had moved all of my items initially, had taken it upon himself to THROW OUT all of my food items in the fridge - even though I was still moving things out of this room!! So.. I get to the new room. The fan in the bathroom is broken, which is causing a lot of water leakage all down the walls and bathroom. Inside of the cupboards there is also a lot of unknown water leakage. This takes several days to get rectified - and the walls are starting to become mouldy at this point. ..... I then get home from a long week at work and AGAIN I am told ''Sir we need you to move rooms again'' and this time, once again they want me to move TONIGHT. I fight my corner and eventually I am able to move in the morning. ...... Into the new room. It is much smaller. It has the same Bathroom Fan/Water leakage issue. Thankfully this is resolved. But this room has an even worse issue which is now, ultimately, forcing me to leave this hotel. My room is on the 22nd floor. Every day at 4am I am woken up by loud banging directly above me. Initially I could not figure out where this noise was coming from, however after looking around, I discovered that there is a shisha lounge directely above my room. And for some reason I cannot fathom - Management feel it is appropriate that this lounge is cleaned at 4am every day. This includes dragging chairs across the floor, slamming doors and other general noise. I had SEVERAL conversations with management about this issue - and they REPEATEDLY assured me that this would not happen again, and that the cleaners would be told that this is not acceptable. I must have had this conversation 5-6 times with different members of staff. However, to date - it is STILL happening. Today, I was woken up at 3:30am - and I went up to the shisha lounge to find 5 cleaners and a supervisor inside, cleaning. Why is this still going on? Why does the Shisha lounge need to be cleaned at 4am?! Why are you not listening to your customers?!!? At this stage I find it downright disrespectful. I simply asked the staff to wait until 5am - as this is the time I get up for work. A reasonable request. However this has still not happened - despite the management saying (to my face) that it would happen. So this is the final straw for me. This has to be one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in, and ever hope to stay in. This is not to mention the clientele, who are made up of a lot of people looking to pick up prostitutes at the weekend from one of the hotels many clubs. The parking is a joke. Inside there are two levels - but the ''parking'' looks more like a workshop, with old appliances, sandbags, tools, and random other items scattered around the place, blocking parking spaces and making the whole space extremely untidy and difficult to park. Subsequently, due to the lack of space and the amount of clutter in the car park, people just seem to park anywhere - which has led to my car being blocked in on several occasions. I have also been blocked in by the buildings own laundry van, which just parks in the middle of the car park every morning, meaning guests have to wait until somebody is available to come and move it every day. All in all, City Tower Hotel is an absolute joke of a establishment and has caused me so much stress over the last few months. I would highly reccomend you avoid it, and pay slightly more to stay in the much nicer Rotana or Concorde hotel next door. You won't regret it. ,.....

Clean, stylish and value for money

Friendly staff checked me in very quickly through a smooth process. Room was average in size but very clean with good quality linens. But the towels in the bathroom was pretty old. Nicely designed hotel separating lift lobby from rooms in order to avoid noise. Full fledged health club in the top floor Separated for ladies and gents. Swimming pool is small; Steam and Jacuzzi were not operational. Ample free parking space, around the hotel and other 2 parking floors. A South Indian restaurant and a gents saloon in the ground floor and there are couple of discos in 1st and 2nd floor. With very good value for money, it is a highly recommended place in Fujeirah.
