  Brand new

  Excellent location. Hard to find, due to the location in a back allley. its number 14a. Go to number 14. Turn your back to the building. Go right, around the corner through the gate and it is on your left. Clean as a whistle. Good english speaking service. Room with fridge and great AC. Semi dark curtains, but it works. Lots of hot water. Good breadfast and great beds. I missed being able to make coffee in the room. Also the water was brown untilll a few hundred liters had run through the pipes. On day 2, the water was ok. Missed, as always in Russia, english channels on the tv. Highly recommended if you wish an efficient stay with all the mod cons, and dont expect huge rooms. Price 3.400.

  Good hotel at great location

  If you want nice location with accesible sights, restaurant and Naberezhnaya, this is your place. It was little difficult to find the hotel, as it is accessible only from side street, but otherwise its worth it.

  New Hotel, good staff, dont stay here

  City Star is a new Hotel in Perm and its modern design is very appealing and the price is right. Like other reviews when you enter you are in a parking lot. The first thing you see is the back door/loading dock for a restaurant in which you usually see kitchen employees mulling around smoking ect. The Hotel itself is beautiful and well done and the staff is friendly. There is a fatal flaw which will keep me from being a repeat customer. THERE IS NO SOUNDPROOFING BETWEEN GUEST ROOMS. My wife and I stayed for two nights at this hotel. The first night the room next to ours was also occupied. The soundproofing is so bad that we could hear and actually understand the conversation they were having. That wasn't the worst of it. That first night we didn't get any sleep listening to our dear neighbors participate in "extra curricular activities" all night. Hell it was so clear they may have been in our room and we clearly heard everything. Its a shame that whoever paid for the building of this hotel didn't take this into consideration. A little insulation between rooms would have been gone a long way. Instead they took something that could have been beautiful and turned it into something I never want to deal with again

  It's not splendid at all. Soundproofing is probably the biggest problem, a snoring neighbor seems to sleep next to you. The breakfast is austere. Parking is very complicated. There is a strip joint in the same building. On the good side, the Internet is OK, there is hot water and A/C, and trust me, in Russia outside of Moscow and St. Petersburg it is not always the case =) The price is good, too.

  Good hotel

  I was on a business trip and it was the hotel I put up for a short stay. Despite the first impression, I found myself in the room which met all my needs after having been to Finland and Cyprus several days before. I liked the cleanness and the style of the room, the space I had, the bathroom. Definitly location is its obvious advantage as the hotel is easy to reach from the center and the bank of the river.
