  Excellent location, great value

  This hotel is excellent and probably the best value you can get in this price range. I'm not too familiar with this price range as I usually stay at 4-5 star international hotels but wanted to give this one a try because of its location. The location truely is excellent, walking distance to many of the top attractions in Tainan. The staff are very friendly and professional. The room is very clean and neat. The breakfast is delicious, and tastes better than 4-5 star hotel breakfasts.

  Perfect stay in Tainan

  City Place Hotel in Tainan Location: is great. wonderful small family run eateries all around this hotel. It was a twenty minute walk from the main train station to the hotel. Good location for walking to many temples sites from the hotel. Rooms: fantastic rooms. Standard rooms were very roomy for a couple. Lovely bathrooms. Everything was very clean and modern. Staff: very helpful. Thank you Steven for the extra help in purchasing chops for our family members as I want to bring back something special for the children. We would also like to thank the front desk staff for their help in finding the best little places to eat nearby the hotel and for writing in Chinese what to order. We had the opportunity to try some amazing dishes because of this time you spent to help us find this places. Breakfast buffet: Everyday it was delicious. Lots of variety and beautiful presented. Thank you City Place for making our visit to Tainan a special one.

  Great place in Tainan

  We loved this hotel. Staff were super nice. Breakfast was great we loved trying so many different Taiwan specialities. And, I really love when the coffee is available anytime, since I am an early riser. The location could not be better! And, it was a really nice, large room for three. Will definitely stay here again in Tainan.

  Great place and excellent service

  This hotel is great. The front desk was extremely helpful and respectful, always helping us with calling taxis or giving restaurant recommendations. The location is within walking distance to many good restaurants, shops, and tourist sites. The room was clean and spacious, and I always had a great night's sleep. I would definitely come here again!

  Spotlights: * Retro Charm blended into Delicate Deco (Entire Hotel) * Comfy Beds & Nice Soundproof * Demi Biz Room Interior: Convenient Working Desk * Bright & Clean Bathroom * Residents could borrow hotel bikes for Tainan City wandering * Friendly & Helpful Staff Pity: * Welcome Snack (local cookie) was tasty; hope it's two pcs instead of one (after all, it was a twin room for two ppl.) * Yogurt in breakfast would be more delish if it's iced.
