  Outdated, but comfortable

  The hotel is pretty dated and has a very standard room. Small bed, old tv and some mismatched towels. The complimentary breakfast was also incredibly average. Some hard boiled eggs, deli meat and cereal. The room was clean, comfortable and warm. I was there in business and would not have chosen it myself, but was not totally unhappy either.

  Simple hotel downtown

  Centrally located across from the Palais Vest. Friendly staff. Basic, semi clean rooms with a balcony,awful breakfast buffet. Loud at night since the windows are not well insulated. Needs major renovation and updates.

  Simple and comfortable.

  We had a quite spacious room for 3 persons, it was quite clean and the beds were large enough. The breakfast included quite everything (cheese, deli meat, scrambled and boiled eggs, sausages, cereals etc). The hotel is located in the very center opposite to a busy shopping center, but when we closed the windows the noise was not disturbing. We stayed there one night and we are satisfied.

  Okay for a night or two

  If you are just staying for a night or two and want to be in the town centre, fine. If like me you travel a lot and are used to a good 3 star hotel still giving you the best 3 star service possible, then you may be disappointed. The staff was polite and helpful enough but the whole place is rather run down and unloved. A property in need of some TLC that has not seen any improvements for 20 years or longer. Don't think our our beds were ever made or the bedding changed once during our stay. No electric sockets anywhere near the bed or the mirror where you would want to charge your phone or blow dry your hair and one of the two sockets in the room was coming off the wall representing a health and safety hazard. Just expected a little more for our money but as I said, it serves a purpose for short business trips or weekend stays in the town centre.

  Funny smells, not clean, not recommended

  Should be 2 stars, not 3. The hallways and room were very worn and not clean. Dead plants in the corner. Funny smells and several rooms condemned by the city? Not something that gives you a sense of confidence! No parking at the hotel but there is a parking garage in the mall across the street. Balconies and windows open into a noisy courtyard of the mall.
