  Renovation needed

  City Beach Resort has wonderful location. It is absolutely in the middle of everything. Also some of personnel tries their best. The lobby is a little bit old fashion, but still looks great. Air conditioning works perfectly. But hotel maintenance is poor. There are some cupboards and other furniture that carries a lot of dust. Wallpapers have stains and tears of in slices. There is only one AC-socket in bedroom. A man in breakfast room was wearing Adidas sport jacket. New plates are carried with shopping cart which has noisy wheels. Also compared to other hotels I have been, the breakfast is quite simple. Next time I choose another hotel, unless renovations wont be made to this hotel.

  Old hotel with big room

  The hotel quite old, The night market just 10 min walk, You dont have much choice when breakfast they just served chicken meat when i stay, They need renovation for rooms but for me and my family the hotel still acceptable

  Find somewhere else

  Foyer is grand, my room was nearly two grand(thai) and was horrible. Breakfast was cold eggs, sausages and potato(all cold) I had two breakfast tickets although I was a solo walk in, further investigation leads me to believe they charged me for two breakfast. Room was really old and grubby.

  City Beach

  The foyer is dated but has a charm I enjoy, I don't enjoy the smell it emits which is sewerage-like and has lingered around the entrance all week. The doorman greets with a sawasdee and the story of Hua Hin begins. The hotel is in the heart of this town and is cheaper than the Hilton. A team of massage girls call hello from across the street, a collection of taxi drivers ask "taxi?" and the heat is here. The beach is 5 minute walk. Beach vendors stab menus into the sand and serve "joys" from the sea as waves roll under my table. I swim. As I walk back to the City Beach Hotel a lady provides water and a bowl to wash your feet for 5 baht. I like this lady a lot and I like her business model. I pay her for this service everytime. At the Hilton they have a little pond and tap to wash the sand off your feet. But the City Beach and this 5 baht is much cheaper than the Hilton.

  Great location!

  It was a nice and comfy stay. The rooms were clean and the staff was very personable. They have safe inside the rooms. This hotel is right next to the police station in hua hin and theres no outside noise or anything. Its a 5 minute walk to the beach and to all the shops and market. The pool was also very nice and is indoor. We asked for king size bed and they gave us this 2 separate mattress bed which was a bit weird. But otherwise everything was awesome. Please make sure to book online as its cheaper compared to book at the reception.
