  Friendly centrally located hotel

  This hotel is easy to find near the markets in central Livorno with a number of restaurants and shops nearby. The staff are friendly , helpful and speak good English. The room was comfortable with a good size ensuite and although simply furnished it contained a fridge which we found very useful also the wifi in the room worked well. The hotel is decorated throughout with the work of many local artists which adds interest and character to the place. We would happily stay here again when next in Livorno.

  Expensive

  Location ideal if you need to rake a ferry in the early morning. 7 minutes from the harbour (by car). Near shopping area, 5 kms from the beach. Hotel looks somewhat old. We had a room on the first floor next to a room with cleaning equipment and during the whole night I heared noises and slamming of doors. Personnell not very friendly in my opinion. There is a garage (much safer according to the man at the reception) for your car but it costs extra. They said 15 euros but the next day I heared that it was 18 with taxes. Had to be paid cash. Be carefull, the garage is very steep!

  Noisy, bad "breakfast", poor wifi

  We stayed at hotel citta for 6 nights and we had a pretty bad experience. Firstly there was a dog barking from 7:30 a.m to 8 am every morning and for us who wanted a quiet vacation it was horrible. The dog was staying next door from us and nobody did anything or excused about the dog. Maybe it was wrong of us to take for granted that a 3 star hotel should not allow dogs. Then there is the breakfast...or maybe you should not call it breakfast it's more of a dessert buffe. you can choose between a vanilla filled croissant or white bread, on top you can put white nutella or jelly. And then you can have a sugary yoghurt or cookies. Maybe it's different in Italy but we are not used to starting the day with pure sugar. The hotel lobby was also weird and unwelcoming and on top of everything the wifi did not work at all for 2 days and almost never worked in our room! Positive things: the room was very clean and the staff very nice.

  Hotel familiar.

  Un hotel pequeño, familiar. Es pequeñito, pero esta todo muy limpio y el trato es genial. Nos hemos sentido muy a gusto. El desayuno completo y rico: capuchino, bolleria, chocolate, tostada. Muy céntrico.

  Middle of town

  Gentlemen at reception were very helpful and attentive. There was no lift but the gentlemen carried our bags up the stairs. The rooms were modern and updated. Breakast wasn't quite up to scratch,quite basic. Needed taxi to get to ferry terminal.
