Good service from staff especially NancyStayed here 3 nights, room clean, friendly staff who were helpful and friendly. There was a good choice of items for breakfast, and service was very quick. Would like to mention Nancy in particular who was extremely efficient and very friendly at breakfast time and gave us a few laughs in difficult times. Also very good price £143 for three nights with breakfast for a double room.

Great staffDespite the covid restrictions and a poor weather, we had a great stay in Eastbourne. Mainly thanks to the lovely people (thank you Rika and Ashley for the covid testing) working at the hotel! Great staff, always ready to help and so friendly. The room we stayed in was huge and cosy, thanks for the upgrade ;-)

AVOID AVOID AVOID!True to my word, I told the Manageress, Rikka that she would get a "glowing" review from me and I am finally doing this. In short, I stayed here from I believe the end pf August to the end of October, spending at least £2000 through Hotels.com. The reason for my stay was to keep away from yet another one of these horrendous Eastbourne Council Temporary Accommodations as it was seriously affecting my health and I have not been safe (something which I am still finding and one has to rely on the neighbours since Eastbourne is so dangerous and the Authorities continue to do nothing.) I had emailed both the Local MP and made contact with adult social care and the local Government Ombudsman. Rikka had asked me after one month if I would change rooms since guests cannot (apparently) stay in a room for more than one month as they can somehow obtain Squatters Rights (something I am not aware of.) I was of course tempted but I would never be underhand so I changed rooms as asked (extra stress.) At this point I would like to add that this Hotel turned me away two years ago, even though the local D.G.H Hospital sent me there through Adult Social Care in a taxi. The taxi and room were going to be funded by the Authorities but I was sent away from their Hotel, homeless in tears with suitcases! I later learned from a Receptionist that the Newspapers had been involved when homeless people from Hastings were sent to the Citrus Hotel and being turned away. What disgusts me about this Hotel, is not so much that I forked out £2000 to stay here, is the fact throughout all my trauma and troubles since my Late Mother's death to a rare Cancer under a corrupt Council, I spent what I thought was 2 hours of Rikka's precious time, turned out to be 2 hours of my WASTED precious time enduring her passive aggressive narcissistic invalidation and talking about her Angels Facebook page. I had just very politely and carefully asked for a little intervention with the Council (since I was an extremely loyal guest privately funding a hotel that seriously failed through the authorities.) She suddenly turned on me for no reason saying she did not want me there and threatened to call the Police. I then had a young Juvenile Delinquent guest threaten to go in my room and drag out my possessions leading me to call the Police. At that Point, I had to call the Police and this lead to further trauma and events that followed, as suggested by my Dr. Surgery, need intervention from a Criminal Defence Lawyer. I would like to simply finish my review by stating perhaps Rikka's Angels Facebook Page is best suited for guests who like to put their shoes on their sofas and threaten other guests, since that is the clientele they prefer and of course the Police like to protect. One doesn't have to look far to scratch beneath the surface of the Picture Postcard of Eastbourne. I have plenty of horror stories about some of the Eastbourne Hotels as it is. The EHA are not interested of course (Welcome to Eastbourne!) There was only one very Polite and helpful Receptionist whom I liked who supported another guest's complaints but I cannot remember his name.

EnjoyableThe receptionist on arrival was extremely friendly to all of us, she really cheered us up as we had been at a local funeral. She made sure our stay was comfortable and she made sure we got all we needed. We had 2 rooms, room 1 family room big spacious ideal for a family clean and tidy, bathroom could do with an update. Room 14 standard double room clean a little Tired but comfortable. Overall good value stay Thankyou.
