Pets welcome! What a great find in the heart of Perth. Not only was our room comfortable and clean with a very decent kitchenette, our dog was also made to feel very welcome. Very rare for a proper hotel in a city centre. The hotel is at the western end of St George's Tce, close to so much and there was even a small park just a few minutes walk away to take our dog. 'Thank you' to the helpful and friendly staff. The only slight downside was that parking was just down the road in a Wilson car park but when our ticket was stamped by the hotel, the fee was drastically reduced and really it is not much of a walk. A tip - there is a small lift right next to the front steps to take you and your luggage from street level to the hotel door level. We are keen to stay again, with or without our dog!

Very good quality for the priceThe room was surprisingly spacious and modern and spotlessly clean, better than I was expecting for the price. The hotel is quiet despite being very conveniently located in the middle of Perth City. The staff were lovely and helpful. No room service breakfast on Sunday, but there is a Dome right around the corner. My only (very minor) gripe was the bathroom being old and small, but it was clearly very well taken care of and spotless.

SpaciousVery big, modern and spacious room with a little kitchen area, a desk, big mirror and a bathroom with a shower and a bath. Right in the CBD for an acceptable rate. I didn't get a nice view though, only saw the next building and could hear other people talking (1st floor) Very friendly and welcoming receptionist.

Needs a major update to be on par with surrounding hotelsHaving recently stayed in a lot of hotels in Perth city - the QT, the Adnate, The Duxton, the intercontinental and the level of facilities, interior, room layout are far superior to Citadine. When I got to my room I was quite disappointed. Showing its age, the desk is small and the room is not well laid out. I rang reception to check that this was in fact an executive room as it seemed very small and old. I was told that different room layouts mean that some seem smaller than others due to the building configuration? For me, there are much better options in the city.

Good, but many little inconvenient things...My partner and I brought our cat for a getaway in Perth for the long weekend. There were a lot of inconveniences we found with the hotel. First off, customer service was non-existent with regards to the booking process. Questions? Forget about it, the staff often did not know (even with bread and butter topics like early check in). Once you get there, there is NO PARKING on the premise. You are using a public carpark that they get a discounted rate (however you can only enter and exit once; so you have to really plan your journeys during the day). Moreover, the parking is a 6 minute drive away because it's on the opposite side of a divided street. The walk is about the same distance as well. They do offer a gym, but it's offsite and approximately a 10-15 minutes walk away. The rooms themselves were pretty good; a typical serviced apartment. Fairly clean, but nothing really to write home about (nothing in particular that's good or bad). You do only get one key though which is needed to keep the power on, so things can be a bit annoying if one person wants to stay home to freshen up while the other goes about shopping for example (you'll need the same room key to access the lift). The location is pretty fantastic and it's just about a 6 minute walk to the Hay street mall which is essentially the centre of the perth CBD. I'm not sure it was worth the effort brining a cat to the hotel, we may just get someone to house sit, send the cat to a cattery, or get a airbnb next time. It's a nice thought to have a hotel that allows our pets, but there were too many inconveniences to actually recommend this hotel.
