Dont expect 5 starsIf you want a clean room with basic facilities, a reasonably nice pool and generic breakfast, this is an ok place to stay. Otherwise, avoid it if you can. The service is slow, if any. There's hardly enough staff, and they look random and not well-trained. The room is clean and spacious. The villas look nice on the outside, we didnt stay in one so I cant comment. All rooms have balcony, but not necessarily the nicest view. No sea views. My advice on Phuket is you either go international 5-stars or go the lowest end. I've stayed in other international 5-stars and they are all excellent, like Sheraton Laguna and Banyan Tree.

Champion of the worst personal attitudeThe hotel was overbook, even if we had a confirmation number they didn't have a room for us. They didn't care to help us finding another hotel. The Manager and his assistant were totaly helpless and the problem they put us in didn't bother them at all. They finally offer us to sleep on the massage table (the massage room wasn't even finish buiding) for over 100$ US per night. Absolutly ridiculous In terms of customer service and personal attitude they are the Champion of the worst that I've seen

The Absolute PitsWe arrived 23rd December to what can only be described as the Hostel from Hell. You couldn't even call it a hotel! Do not believe anything on their website which is total frabrication. It has never seen a 'star' in it's life let alone 5*'s. Though congratulations to the person who managed to airbrush something truly dreadful into some passable resemblence of a hotel. The rooms were death traps. Patio doors hanging on by one runner only, if you tried to open the door the whole door fell towards you. Live wires on the walls and next to the bed. Mostquito infested due to the stagnant water 'features'. Outlook onto a formidable black mould infested wall. The bathroom window opened onto an enclosed pit for builders rubble. Stayed in the room all of 30 mins before upgrading to a 'suite' ??? After much complaining managed to get moved the following morning to the Mana Thai in Surin which was excellent. Never before seen such a dreadful place such as the Thiwa Ratri. One word only - 'NO'! NO way, not ever, go anywhere near this awful place. Tiggy

Cant believe the other reviewswhich is why I had to do this one - whilst the hotel is not ideal as far as location is concerned - the rooms - the pool - breakfast - staff - all were nice - I will admit there were not many at the hotel at the time BUT to me this was a bonus - undived attention from staff - always sun beds - plenty of food at breakfast etc etc - now although the location is not great you can walk from here into Kamala itself which is not a major resort - but pop into vianna bar and see ton its great also the steak house which is argentinian run by indians in thailand ? - the beach is less than a 5 min walk - the only down side is the major nightlife and tourist attractions / sites are a taxi / tuktuk ride away which can be expensive on Phuket but I had a car so no problem - I sometimes wonder what people expect when they book into a quiet resort ?

This place has been closed since late 2009.This place has been closed since late 2009. Should be dropped from trip advisor. It's reviews are from 2009 and before. Rated pretty bad so its comes as no surprise. I'm a little surprised that, with all the new construction in Kamala, no one has taken this over and renovated or rebuilt.
