  Lovely B&B

  My family of 4 stayed in a lovely family suite with 2 bedrooms during February half term. The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed the breakfast and cream teas in the Cider Pantry. Great location in the New Forest - just a shame about the weather!

  Great to be back

  We had another lovely stay (2nd year running) in room 4 (double & single for our son). The room was spotless & the team are working hard to get things right for guests with regards to Covid. They were very friendly. The breakfasts were as fabulous as we remembered & the setting is gorgeous with pigs, the chickens & ponies at the door & just a few minutes walk on a quiet road from Burleys shops, pubs, bus routes, & cycle tracks. The rooms are a bit dated but cosy & clean & room 4 has a lovely view over the garden. Good value stay in the heart of the new forest.

  Basic facilities and disappointing breakfast

  The room was as we would expect for the price The location was excellent, only a few hundred yards from Burley centre We stayed for 2 nights and had to pre order breakfast There was no explanation of what was included in a farmhouse breakfast, which I would appreciated as I dont like mushrooms First breakfast - poached egg white was very raw, I did send it back and the second attempt was perfect Second breakfast - was cremated! Egg was bullet hard, sausages were burned and bacon like leather it was so over done I might return, but wouldn't book the breakfast and would wait until the pandemic is over as as nice as Burley is, it really isn't geared up for social distancing, pavements too narrow and shops too small. Shame, as nothing can be done about it and I do like to support small businesses where I can

  A perfect place to stay to enjoy the New Forest

  I booked the Cider Cottages for a two day stay for a weekend away with my girlfriend. We stayed in room 6 which was the self contained annexe to the side of the main building. The room was clean, cosy and a great size. The bathroom was similarly a very good size, clean and perfect for our needs. Seeing cows and horses out of the window was lovely. Noise was no issue for us like I saw in some reviews before booking. Due to the location of the room and thickness of the walls, wifi wasnt available in the room which wasnt a problem for us at all but could be for others. Phone signal can also be a problem for certain networks (02 was fine, three had no service). Due to Covid, we didnt see much of the owners which is completely understandable in the circumstances but anything we needed was promply given and the room was fully stocked on arrival. Everything we needed to know was on the welcome sheet too. The breakfasts were delicious. The sausages and bacon on offer were some of the best Ive ever tasted and the waffles were another highlight! I highly reccomend this place and wouldnt hesitate to book again. A great location and a perfect home for a couple of days. Thank you Cider Cottages!

  Very Convenient Location for the New Forest

  We spent 3 nights at Cider Cottages and enjoyed a comfortable, warm and quiet time in an old but well appointed room. Modern shower although quite small but a warm bathroom. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed a quiet nights sleep. Covid rules meant that maides service could not be provided but facilities were made available. Breakfast was excellent with good portions and friend 'Covid' service. Great location for visiting the New Forest and local beeches. Only negative is that wifi could not be picked up in our room.We look forward to staying again.
