  I didn't actually get to stay in this hotel lol.

  We booked here and were put in the Cosy Cat Ba hotel which was just up the road. It wasn't quite what we booked, but it did the job. Room was clean, aircon was cold and it was fairly quiet. Got chatting with the owner, he's not a bad guy at all and was patient and understanding with me when I had to explain a change in plans. Location wise it's not bad at all, just off the main strip, where are the restaurants and bars are.

  Dirty and unprofessional

  When we arrived the receptionist told us that we needed to stay at the hotel next door due to overbooking. This hotel (Stay Hotel) was dirty - stains on the sheets, stuff under the bed, lots of dust etc. The next morning we changed hotel to Ciao, but our room wasnt ready. Then we went on a 10 hour trek, and when we came back the room was still dirty and hadnt been cleaned up, but the staff gave us the key - they had no clue. Normally were not that uptight at all, but this was not okay. Furthermore the rooms are old and not very cosy with beds of stone.

  Helpful staff

  The staff is helpful especially the staff whose name is Nga, who helped us and give suggestion to us for the food in Cat Ba Island. Nice location for the hotel if you want to walk around the town centre.

  Dirty bedroom toilet

  Booked in advanced and on booking.com it looked basic but just want we were looking for as were in a budget. However, the bedroom had mould on walls and in bathroom/shower room and thick dust on most surfaces. Towels were also unclean and stained. There were ants and other bugs in the room. Sweet wrappers and food under the bed and drawers. There was also no atmosphere at all. If it was given a bit more attention and staff were more friendly we would stayed as me and my boyfriend are traveling and tend to go for more basic but clean rooms.

  Clean hotel and good location

  We stayed 03 nights on this hotel. It is good hotel with acceptable price. Specially it has restaurant next door . They served the Vietnamese food, it was really nice . The staff so helpful and professional.
