The wall that is too thinOkay, its a good hotel IF NO ONE stay next to your room. Basically I can hear almost everything people were doing in the rooms next to me, from the sound of TV to the shower. This is the thing that I never experienced in such level hotel. When I checked out, I made the complains to the front desk, and the lady there told me they had aware the issue (but did nothing to improve it). Judging from its price, go to other hotel is possible. Otherwise come here but ask for a quite location.

Very Good HotelChutian Guang Dong International Hotel located in No.181 Donghu Road, Wuchang District, Wuhan, China is one of the best hotel , especially for international travelers to Wuhan / Hubei province. Located in a decent area well connected to city center and there is a museum close to this hotel. one must specify thing is the WIFI connectivity and service and response offered by front office staff.Food was good. buffet was huge like anything consisting of all the dishes from most parts of china.

Western style hotel, without the western...I was at this hotel as part of a group staying for an international conference. Clearly the conference organisers had done much in advance, so a lot of things that could have been problems were totally sorted in advance. The hotel is quite luxurious, marble everywhere, very nice looking dining room etc. But soon one realises that westerners are than common in Wuhan, since there was very limited English spoken by staff, although they tried their best. The rooms are very nice, almost to the point of being oversize (and the room I had was not even the biggest). The area around the hotel (which was situated right across the street from the Webei Provincial Museum and Art Museum, and maybe a fifteen minute walk from the East Lake) was quite a contrast - those things on one side and then what I assume is standard Wuhan behind it. The limited English at the hotel was matched by almost no English on the street shops etc. And being photographed a couple of times by locals suggests that there is possibly very little chance to try it out... In the hotel entrance was a self-playing piano, which must drive the staff mad. It was near the dining room and the bar. The breakfast was, unfortunately, rather poor, with very bad coffee, and not well cooked other things. Some (Chinese) things would be made fresh if you asked, but I didn't so cannot comment if it was an improvement. A group of us ate in the same room one night, and that was a much better experience. The bar is small, with no English (it is fine, you can point, and the staff will translate in writing on phones if it is needed. The isn't a great variety, and I suspect that our group (not that large) more-or-less drunk them dry (without ever getting drunk ourselves). But they were very accommodating and flexible with our different cultures.

International only by nameI spent one week in Chutian Guang Dong International Hotel, and had a mixed experience. At a first sight, the hotel is luxurious, with great display of marbles and an impressive lobby. The rooms are spacious, elegantly furnished, and well lit. However, a careful look shows hasty and careless finishing, cracks on the walls everywhere, poorly aligned tiles, the shower box in my room leaked (and in my colleague's room leaked too), the heating system seems impossible to control, the magnetic card didn't fit well and every time it was a problem to get the lights to switch on (after a couple of days the staff left an extra card permanently in the socket). The walls are paper thin, and insulation was poor: I could hear distinctly night and day the noise from the road at the 7th floor. Despite the 'International' claim, no staff could speak more than a couple of words in English, and the choice of channels on the TV was limited to BBC world and a few dozens Chinese stations (although government censorship may be to blame). Food was good if you liked Chinese cuisine, but the choice of international dishes was very limited (not a big problem for me). Cakes, bread, and pastries were below par, but still nothing compared to a vile chemical concoction called "healthy orange juice", or the truly terrible coffee (if you like coffee, avoid China altogether!). Finally the location, close to a main road and banks, and in front of the Wubei Provincial Museum and the Art Museum. Well connected, but no green and noisy all day and night.
