  Beautiful Luxury

  All went really smoothly, had a lovely relaxing and well catered stay here. The room was luxurious and we had a giant bed to sleep in which is perfect as I am 194cm. The breakfast was of the highest quality and the service from the Manager Minty was perfect. So friendly. My partner and I felt incredibly welcome and would definitely stay again. The hot tub was out of service though.

  Mixed but pleasant overall

  Lovely location. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable bed. Plenty of parking. What wasnt quite so good... Separate bathroom along the corridor. Hot tub not available - as apparently we should have booked it. No TV in room.

  This wasnt as good as we were expecting from the website and reviews. When we (5 friends in 3 rooms) got there, there werent enough parking spaces and the woman seemed quite flustered with a few of us arriving at the same time. When we checked in and were shown our rooms, one room had the bathroom next door, but we have no idea if it was a private bathroom or shared with the bedroom on the other side. The website said that the room have a tv but this same room didnt and was really quite small (good job I shared with an old friend!). We also expected to be able to use the hot tub for a nominal charge - as stated on the website, but we were told that as we hadnt pre-booked it, it wasnt ready. No mention of pre-booking on website! We asked if we could use it the next day and were told that we could. But on the next day the hot tub was still empty. One thing that was excellent was the breakfast especially the full English. The lady from the day before seemed much happier and relaxed and she cooked a great fry-up. I would stay there again, but hopefully get a different room.

  Top notch hotel and restaurant.

  We were invited to a wedding by a long standing friend of the family, to be held at the Barns with reception afterwards. Very well laid out and exceptional service. The staff worked very hard to make everyone satisfied. A very nice place to visit, certainly not on the modest scale, a very top notch place you get that which you pay for.

  Valentine and Anniversary Weekend Away

  Info provided not much what you get. - Jacuzzi: First of all we have asked for Jacuzzi on the arrival which was on the advert, we were happy to do so... that was never the case! A women greeted us, sadly was full of empty promises. She did say she will try to get the Jacuzzi ready and will inform either way... never mentioned thereafter... - TV in sitting room: werent working, again when mentioned to her, she confidently said will sort it out and never done anything thereafter, not saying we have been told earlier on site that it is non working condition! (Ohh, you also need to take battery with you if you like to use remote control) shocking! - En-suite shower: you have more water leak in the shower hose than coming from its head! Very disappointed and disgusted with the empty promises or in this case the lies we were getting! Cant even remember the womens name! There are small steps within the ground floor in the house with no signage provided correctly, as you would expect. Steps are ahead of you but the signs are shown on the side wall. Maybe unless you fall down then would be visible where the signs are! Not worth the money unless youre happy to pay for sleeping and eating breakfast only! Wouldnt visit again! Other than that, breakfast cooked and served as expected with quality, thanks to Sharon for the service re Breakfast and room cleaning. Have to say, the look of the property and location are good.
