Super holiday!Reading through some of the reviews Im truly astounded about some of the negative comments. I can only come to the conclusion that some holiday makers have failed to do adequate research about the star rating & location. If you want a 5* resort Im sure you can find one, First Choice give Chrispy World a 3* rating & thats what it should be judged against. Yes, its in a somewhat remote area but m thats quite obvious if you take a look on google maps. For us it was situated perfectly, a couple of minutes walk to a pebbly beach - wear swim shoes and youll be fine! Its in a quiet place away from rowdy tavernas and any Brits abroad cafes (genuinely dont understand these - youre overseas for goodness sake). This brings me to the food - if you want nuggets and pizza, yes they are there but why would choose that for yourself and your children when the other offerings are delicious. The fresh salads are superb, assortments of delicious Greek foods (spinach pie, moussaka etc) and even a great curry one evening! Fruit is plentiful and ice cream is on offer for most of the day. The staff were not at all grumpy, yes - they were strict about people coming too near to the food counters but in this Covid world it was very reassuring. Ive been to all inclusive resorts before & I actually preferred being served at the counters rather than helping myself, hopefully once the pandemic is over this practice will be retained. The tables are kept immaculate & we didnt feel concerned at all during the whole of our stay about the proximity to other holidaymakers - it was beautifully set up with plenty of hand sanitisers. The splash park is fab! The lifeguards are friendly, alert & constantly watching to make sure folks were spaced evenly to avoid any accidents. I witnessed them rushing to help one boy in superhuman time who they thought was in trouble & even checked on him a while later to make sure he was ok. The big pool was fine apart from it being a little rough on the bottom & can get a little sore on the feet if youre not careful. We never had a problem getting sun loungers, some people felt the need to reserve early in the morning with towels but there really was no need. The rooms are a perfectly comfortable, we had a little bit of a leaky shower but nothing dramatic & nothing a towel couldnt sort out. The lady at reception is lovely, so welcoming & kind. If I needed anything I was helped straight away. Entertainment was low key which is understandable given the pandemic and the issues presented, again, I preferred this set up, lovely and quiet. My 11 year old was perfectly happy as well, played in the pool and splash park, read books and made friends with other children who he challenged to air hockey and went searching for cats, no need for any other distractions over the week. This is quite a long review but to summarise we had a brilliant family holiday at Chrispy World, thank you so much for a fab week long escape!

Think twice..and then think againWe stayed for a week in August and this hotel is terrible. We were reallocated here from another hotel that had been closed. Reading the website and being assured by Tui that this was of a similar standard to the one we had booked we went along with the change. In hindsight we would never have come. If you are offered this hotel or a refund/amendment, think carefully. We have stayed in many of this standard of hotel and this is by far the worst we've come across. The rooms are shabby and dirty, we even found a previous incumbent's shorts under our bed despite the hotel boasting that the room had been 'thoroughly disinfected'. The food standards in terms of quality, presentation and choice is appalling. The staff range from morose to sneering. The queuing is not Covid secure as the hotel is woefully understaffed. WiFi bad in most areas. The management seem in denial regarding the numerous flaws (as will be evident of they deem to respond to this review). I'm not one to write negative reviews normally but if I can save 1 person from this experience then I'll be happy. Only redeeming features are the slides and the air-con in the rooms. If anyone wants excursions then search for Splendor Holidays who pick up locally, their trip to the Samaria Gorge was well organised.

Great holidayWe came here last minute after getting our planned holiday cancelled. We stayed in the family duplex apartments as they were 5 of us. I have to say the rooms are not fantastic, very basic, no much storage for five of us, just one small wardrobe and the bathroom was not good, no shower curtain so after 5 of us had a shower the bathroom was covered in water. However, we viewed our room as just a base to sleep in, nothing more, so it didnt ruin our holiday. The pools are great, water park fantastic, the food was your average all inclusive, but nice. Drinks good for kids, alcohol poor, but nothing different than any all inclusive, we got beer from the mini market instead. The beach is a 2 minute walk away and its great. It was so quiet, there was literally only us on there. However the beach is pebbles and is very painful on the feet so Id definitely invest in some sea shoes. Theres a bar at the beach that lets you have the loungers if you buy a drink, we carried the loungers to the sea front and it was perfect day. The cleaning in the hotel was good, in the rooms we only had our bins emptied once during the week stay, which wasnt too nice considering you cannot put toilet paper down the toilet! But I think we do need to remember that we are holidaying during COVID and we cannot expect services to run as normal. The staff were very welcoming and polite and worked very hard all day and night. Lots of cats around, but we loved seeing them, we did not find it a problem at all. We did have a major problem with mosquito bites, me and my husband were covered in them so Id highly recommend some repellent and after cream. There is very little around the hotel but tbh, we didnt explore that much. We literally went for a week relaxing in the sun and thats exactly what we got. No rush for sun-beds, food available all day, the snack bar does lovely pasta and salads, ice creams all day which were also lovely. If youre wanting a relaxing, slow paced holiday with family this is ideal.
