  Overpriced

  Stayed there with conference , we got charged for the slightest thing WiFi is free but extra charge added for special WiFi ! Food adequate as it was free but definitely not 4 star Did not see one person in pool Hotel pickup was fine both ways Rooms are ok , but poor construction meant mine was infested with mosquitoes and had to be twice fumigated The body of stagnant water at the rear did not help Its near the game reserve but a good taxi ride to falls and town Air con worked Tv had few local channels only Tip if you order a cab from reception you will be charged double ie $10 Fare to town and falls should only be $5 in local , try and get number for local driver Ive attached example of chap who returned an Mac air we left in his cab Would not choose to use it again

  Reason for being there: conference

  The Chrismar is a very friendly, efficient hotel. The staff are helpful. Facilities are good. It's an excellent place from which to explore the many sites in the Livingstone area that there are to see: national park, Victoria Falls, etc. I was the organizer for a conference which was being held at the Chrismar and, despite the many challenges that our group presented, the staff adapted and helped so that all went smoothly. I found it a very pleasing environment in which to be.

  3 days this week spent relaxing

  I loved it. The Wifi was very good, the pool bar is divine and service excellent. Very clean. Stuff was friendly and went out of their way to help us. Including taking us for a free ride. At night elephants tried to enter the yard but the guard chased them away. Lots of wildlife around. Most tourist amenities are around and easy to book from the lobby of the hotel. Great value!

  Short but pleasant stay

  This was a trip made within a short notice and it was entirely work-related. I didn't get a chance to explore the area but I hope to get another chance to do so. I liked the African themed architecture, thatched roof, etc. It made me feel at home. The highlight of the trip was my assigned driver, Mwiya commonly known as Biggie. He's such a jovial man, made me laugh throughout our drive to the hotel from the airport and back the next day. His good nature was further brought to the fore when he noticed my mobile phone which I'd forgotten in the car on my way back to the airport. Such an honest individual. If you get to stay there, request for Biggie, he'll make your day. Ms. Natasha was so helpful, she offered me the quickest check-out ever! I also spoke with Virginia who assisted to prepare my phone for dispatch via DHL. All in all, Chrismar has such friendly staff. The hotel/duty manager for 3/5/2019 allowed me to extend my use of the meeting room beyond the time booked! Thanks to Roy and his partner for suggesting and serving me the scrumptious bream for lunch. Such value for money. I look forward to another visit, this time in a more relaxed manner and for an extended period.

  Lovely staff, great location

  I particularly enjoyed the staff. They were friendly and helpful. My wife and I made a few friends we will stay in touch with. The location is great. Right by the reserve. Short cab ride to the falls, the airport, and the wonderful Cafe Zambezi.
