  como en tu casa

  Apartahotel, donde parece que estás en tu casa, ya que nadie se preocupa de si entras, o si sales. Hay recepción, pero normalmente no hay nadie, aunque si insistes alguien aparecera. La calidad-precio es buena, sobre todo si comparas con los precios de Chamonix. Estuve hospedada en habitación grande, con cocina y comedor y pueden dormir hasta 5 personas. Hay un balcon con muy buenas vistas a la montaña y puedes desayunar, comer, si el tiempo lo permite en el balcón, ya que está preparado para ello. La limpieza de la habitación es normal. Cerca del hotel hay un carrefour, donde no te faltará de nada. El propio hotel tiene restaurante, pero merece mucho más la pena hacer la propia comida en la habitación, ya que está perfectamente preparado para ello y es muy cómodo. El pueblo es muy pequeñito, aunque cuenta con bares y restaurantes y supermercados. Esta cerca de Chamonix, pero eso, si aunque llegas enseguida, debes desplazarte en coche.

  desayuno a contracorriente

  Después de rechazar el desayuno bufé , caro y malo, nos sentamos en la cafetería. Eramos 7. Pedimos café o café con leche, cruasanes y tostadas. el camareo se resistió todo lo que pudo, tuvimos que reclamar los platos, luego los cubiertos, las servilletas, después la mantequilla, etc. etc. Todo aguantando la desidia del camarero. Sii pasa por la puerta no pare.

  Lovely, family owned hotel

  Smallish property, but they have free parking and good wifi. Nice sized room with private balcony. Clean and friendly, we didn't use it but they have an indoor pool and tennis courts. Really liked this place, comfortable beds and large closet space.

  A very nice hotel, we loved it!

  We stayed in this hotel in February 2020, during school half-term. There were three of us, myself, my husband and our 9 year-old son and we chose for our stay a quadruple room with a kitchenette. The room was more like an apartment, very spacious and lovely, with a bedroom and a king-size bed in it, another cosy bed in the niche next to the bedroom (our son absolutely loved it!) and the third bed in the living-room. The kitchen was well-equipped with cookware and utensils, the only thing which would have been nice was a regular kettle, we did not fancy the coffee-maker that much, but it was okay. We felt very welcome right from the start, I remember having read some reviews here about the rudeness of the staff so I had been a little worried about that, but the owner Florent and the rest of the staff were very friendly and welcoming, Florent gave us a lot of useful information about the area and handy bits like free bus tickets and a bus timetable, the maps of the slopes in the whole Mont-Blanc area, the map of Les Houches, etc. Whenever we interacted with the personnel, it was always pleasant. The cleaning was smooth and it was very nice after a long day of skiing to return to a lovely clean room with made-up beds and clean towels, every day! I agree with the previous reviews that the hotel is not new, but we did not need it to be, it has this Alpine charm about it and I would not like it to change a lot, personally. The only thing I would work on is heating, it was okay in the living-room, but in the bedroom the heating was rather low. But again, that did not spoil the impression of the hotel and a lovely time we had in Les Houches. We did lots of skiing and went to see Aiguille du Midi and Mer de Glace, and the holiday was just fantastic! We haven't eaten at the hotel restaurant, so I cannot comment on that. But we did use the pool, which was very nice (a little cold for me, but absolutely great for my son, he went there almost every day!) We also played table tennis and once our son played video-games in the gaming room. There was only one game, unfortunately and it was 18+ so we did not allow him to play there again. In the lobby, there is a lovely fireplace and it was nice and cosy to sit there in the evenings, I wish I could just stay there forever :) Do ask me questions if you have any, I'd be happy to answer while the impressions are still fresh.

  Average indeed

  Rooms are ok and clean, although rather noisy. One would expect restaurant to be open on a Sunday but that was not the case. They did serve me a nice salad though for lunch. Breakfast is basic. Check out only possible as from 8am onwards. They might tell you that when making the reservation. There was a person who missed his train brcause of this.
