  Fabulous 5 star stay

  I just had a fantastic 4 nights stay at Chobe Water Villas in Namibia. This will be in my memories forever. The setting on the Chobe river is beautiful, the facilities was great, rooms beautiful, well equipped, comfortable with a great porch overlooking the river. A beautiful swimming pool overlooking the river, great for cooling off. I was treated like Royalty by many very friendly staff. The German couple whos in charge are very friendly and very much involved in the daily running. Food and wine was excellent, presented with love and care. Wine was served in stunning imported glassware. This is just paradise, close to Chobe National park, for a game drive or a river cruise both in the park. Bird life is spectacular and animal sightings fantastic. When youre in heaven, you should not complain! All arrangements was made by Explore Plus Travel and Tours, they did an excellent job and everything was spot on.

  Our horrible experience

  The property is lovely and the staff is generally great. We were however, a bit puzzled at how we were treated by the manager after having communicated our departure times with the front desk officer. We had expressed our intention to either extend our stay by a day or leave later during the day but only to be rudely told at midday by the manager that we had to leave (details of which can be given). His approach and communication were quite unpleasant and spoil our entire experience. With a property so expensive, we expert that there should a better way of dealing with people especially because there were also so many things that went wrong with our arrival but we didn't even fuss about it. The overall experience of this trip was extremely poor because in our view experience or service far outweighs the beauty of the property. We leave with the experience and nothing else. Ours wasnt such a great one especially given how experience this property is.

  Views on views!

  We had a lovely time at Chobe Water Villas. A big thumbs up to Lovemore and his team, you made us feel very welcome and the service was great. The venue is amazing, the design is beautiful and the view from the pool and the room is amazing. It's the perfect place to space out and clear your head. We appreciate it and will definitely see you again.

  Heaven on Earth!

  This was our second visit to Chobe Water Villas, and boy, this was an amazing experience! Our visit in 2019 was good, but this one was exceptional and that is because of the new management pair that took over the management of this lodge. Peter and Birgit were magnificent and nothing was ever too much trouble or effort for them. This was the second year we celebrated my husbands birthday at the lodge and we enjoyed every moment of it. The food and wine were first class! The service superb! The game drives and river cruises were fantastic. We enjoyed the fact that there was no TV and listened to the sounds of the hippos and birds. No traffic or noise to spoil the calmness and tranquility while lounging on the deck chairs overlooking the great Chobe River. The mini bar was stocked daily and every night there was turndown service and the closing of the mosquito net around the bed. The bed was very comfortable and the linen of high quality. I am a very critical traveller and can not fault this lodge at all. We normally celebrate our individual birthdays at different lodges, but will be returning for the 3rd time in July. Peter and Birgit turned this lodge around and made our stay a memorable one!

  50th birthday celebration

  We stayed for 3 nights at Chobe Water villas for my 50th birthday. Although the borders were closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, they made special arrangements for us to be transferred from the Ngoma border post by boat. Lovemore and his team made us feel welcome from the start. They even baked me a birthday cake. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. The villas are by far the prettiest I have ever stayed in. The attention to detail is unbelievable. The daily boat trips along the Chobe river exceeded all our expectations.
