  The best place I have ever visited

  Fue un verdadero placer haber tenido la oportunidad de visitar este hermoso lugar, que aparte de ser fisicamente encantador, cuenta con un grandioso personal. El chef Ajay con sus deliciosos menus, Satish y Rohit siempre al pendiente de la comodidad y del buen servicio hacia los invitados y el resto del personal que no se compara con ninguno que haya visto antes. Las habitaciones cada una con un toque diferente. En fin, un perfecto lugar para alejarse de la vida cotidiana y tener mas contacto con la naturaleza. He de mencionar a Cheeta, Maya y Punch, tres encantadores y amigables canes que protegen la propiedad. Resta por decir que de seguro volveré a visitar este grandioso lugar muy pronto Altamente recomendado!!

  Huge and neat rooms, beautiful location, good food, ... well done!

  We stayed at Chitvan Jungle Lodge mid-March, when the corona panic also erupted in India. As a result, we had to stop our tour at Chitvan Jungle Lodge. However, we were able to enjoy their hospitality for the planned two days. The domain is close to Mukki gate of Kanha NP. The road there is bumpy but passes through picturesque settlements. The whole is located in a spacious and green park. The reception is friendly and warm with a welcome drink and check-in goes smoothly. The bungalows are nicely implanted among the greenery. We stayed in a Jal suite and they are very spacious with a separate living room, bedroom, a place where you can leave your luggage and a bathroom. As I said, because we were there during the corona crisis, there were hardly any guests: except the two of us, there were just a French lady and also an Indian man whose review you can also read here. As a result, there was no buffet meal but we were served at the table. However, the food was always delicious. For our last breakfast they even dragged a table outside and put it next to the pool. We felt very privileged. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. A special thanks to manager Rohit for helping us find a return flight from India to Belgium. Unfortunately, we were unable to accept his offer to sit out the crisis with them, otherwise we might have had an extra two months of vacation. They also ensure that blankets are always available at the safaris. The breakfast at these safaris is more than sufficient. When you return, you always get warm flannels to wipe your dusty face and hands. After the evening safaris there are also drinks and cookies ready as well. If we ever return to Kanha National Park we will definitely opt for this resort again.

  Excellent hospitality and superb location

  Loved the property and the people serving at the resort. The present property manager Mr. Rohit is exceptional when it comes to customer delight. The property is on the border of core zone and buffer zone, you have to go 4 kms inside from the main mukki gate. Though your driver may crib but this is one of the places to be in Kanha.

  So glad we stayed at Chitvan

  Absolutely loved our stay at Chitvan. Such a beautiful property, and lovely spacious rooms so nicely done up. We stayed in Mahasagar. Food was just excellent - north indian, very yummy and fresh. Good variety. Naans were too good. Even high tea snacks were super. Mr. Naren Malik - manager and resident naturalist- is an excellent host. Very responsible with warmt, attention to detail. He took us for our 4 safaris in kanha, such a great guide, true nature lover. We went in Chitvan jeep which was so comfortable. They packed us a lovely breakfast as well. Property is so close to Mukki Gate. Wifi only works in lobby. Really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to go back with family.

  4N stay - wonderful

  We stayed at this property for 4n. The location is perfect; though a little inside from main road. The property, food, staff and naturalist provided by the hotel are excellent. If would highly recommend to take Naren or Mahesh for the safaris; while you pay a little more then the normal rate, it is this additional amount which makes the whole difference in spotting the tiger and the overall experience. Food is exceptional and the fact that hotel has its own garden lot of the food we ate was very fresh and organic. The head chef, Ajay was exceptional and you can feel the attention to detail in the food they served us. Overall, a hidden gem and definitely value for money. Look forward to many more visits to Kanha and saying at this property.
