    Poor

I entered the room and wow, the heat from the radiator was like stepping off a plain in Spain. It was incredibly hot. Took ages to cool down, even with three windows open. Went down for a warm breakfast this morning, was asked if everything was ok? I said its not very hot, and the guy said ok, and walked off. Also, those toast machines. Put a piece of bread in once and its slightly done. Put it back through, its burnt to a crisp. Why cant they set it up properly? These are just little niggles, the worst part was having hair on the bathroom floor. 4 long strands, definitely not mine. If they cant be bothered to clean the floors, it makes you wonder about the standard of cleanliness in other parts of the hotel. Will not return or recommend.

    Eccentric England

This place has all the makings of a beautiful country house hotel. It is steeped in history and is quite charming. Sadly it is needing some TLC to restore it to its former glory. Although the huge bedroom was warm and clean and the bathroom had been modernised, the curtains were falling apart and the carpet very tired. If one can forgive the Fawlty Towers eccentricities and cast ones mind back to olde world England, it is a place to experience for a short stay. Menu rather limited but breakfast was plentiful.

Good country hotel for the price

Stayed here for a work meeting at Cranfield Unversity. At first glance a run of the mill English country hotel, with impressive grounds. The room was clean, but small. Some issues however: the TV had several lines of dead pixels, and for some reason the rain shower head is at about 5'6". Breakfast was good - buffet style but well made with high quality ingredients.

    Afternoon tea.

I was gifted an afternoon tea here, and used it for a joint birthday for me and my friend - Amazing. Loved it all. The venue itself is breathtaking! A rather soggy british day. But the grounds were well maintained regardless. - The rooms were pleasant, period rooms with features mostly sympathetic to the baroque styling. (Some lamps on the wall could use a little tlc). Intimate dining areas. Just 3 tables in ours, with an incredible view. Table set perfectly, attention to detail is appreciated as I work in the 5 star food industry. And was very pleased with the aesthetic. Pleasant staff. We got to have a little walk thru and see Parts of the house. Which is easily Very beautiful. The tea and service received was impeccable- good choice of teas. Finger sandwiches delicious and a good mix - Not all cakes were to my taste. But I am not a fan of chocolate. Scones were lovely, traditional fruited scones with jam & clotted cream. We Already plan to return ! And my friend will be booking for around Mothers Day also. Chicheley hall and its team of staff are A hidden gem in Milton Keynes. - but I will tell people to come and give the afternoon teas a try - Look forward to returning

Really enjoyed my stay. Very English and quirky with lots of history which I personally love. Staff friendly and helpful. An enjoyable stay. Good car parking which is essential for me. Beautiful grounds.
