  Good choice in downtown Chiayi

  The hotel is close to chiayi train station, where you can take a bus to Alisan. The room is older but well-kept and clean. Front desk staffs are incredibly friendly and gave me a lot of recommendations. I had dinner at the hotel restaurant and it serves really good, authentic Taiwanese food. This is a good choice for a stay-over before heading to Alisan the next day. The front desk held onto our luggage for us after checkout.

  Not too far away from the railway station

  the location of the hotel is about 10 minutes walking. around the hotel will have shops and the hotel is not on the main road direction. Need to look out for the hotel in a side lane. the facilities in the hotel were clean and good. It is facing the family mart outlet. the breakfast is buffet style with reasonable choices. it is also convenient if want to buy Alishan bus tickets as the family mart opposite the hotel sells the ticket. need to buy from the ticket machine in the family mart outlet the hotel staffs are friendly and able to advise on how to travel around.

  Good location. Clean room. Disappointing breakfast.

  My family stayed here for a night before heading up to Alishan the next day. The hotel is less than 10 minutes walk from Chiayi Train Station and is about 10 minutes walk from the Wenhua Road Night Market. The hotel is located on a side road so it's relatively quiet at night. The check-in process was smooth and the reception staff were friendly. Our room was away from the elevator and was in a quiet corner. The room was well lighted, and there's sufficient space for moving about. The bed was comfortable enough. We were surprised to find a light switch outside the room. We could switch off all the lights in the room from there. This was totally weird because anyone could have switched off our lights while we were in the room. The bathroom was not well designed: there's a shower curtain for the shower area, but nothing to stop the water from flowing out of the shower area when you shower. The entire bathroom floor was wet after someone showers! Breakfast was primarily Chinese food (noodles, Chinese buns, vegetables, porridge), and toast. They only provide chopsticks, not even fork! We felt that this place was good for a one night stay. If we were to stay for a few days, we'd probably find a better hotel.

  Convenient for 1 night

  The hotel looks very grand in the entrance foyer. Room was good. Large king size bed. Very spacious. My wife got quite a few bites after staying the night and didnt feel it was the cleanest room weve stayed in. A deep bath in the bathroom but no overflow plug, so be mindful of that. Light switches on the outside of the hotel room, very bizarre! Fire alarm testing went off in the morning and carried on for a good half an hour. Very loud and would have prevented anyone from sleeping in. No warning of this beforehand. Welcome video on a tablet was efficient and easy to understand. Hotel has free bike rental which we took advantage of. Didnt have breakfast. Family mart is opposite the hotel for snacks/essentials. Location is very good. 5-10 minute walk to Chiayi train station. Also, close to a busy main shopping road. Convenient stop over for Alishan forest trips. Staff were helpful and dealt with any questions competently. Price was very good for our nights stay with 2 adults and 2 children.

  Cheap, convenient, free parking

  Location: few minutes walk to train station and night market. Rooms: older but comfy, cool aircon, fast Wi-Fi, and not too small. The bath tub is deep, so getting in and out is a bit dangerous. Had a good night sleep. Staff: very helpful, but breakfast will only be edible if you like Chinese food.
