  Chiang Mai in style!

  We stayed here as a family of seven, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The rooms are spacious and lovely surrounding a beautiful pool which the kids thoroughly enjoyed. The Villa staff were friendly and discrete and happy to help with any requests. The Chef (also the Manager) was outstanding, the flavors he created with his Thai dishes were one of the best I have eaten in Thailand, and it meant we ate in more then we expected. The villa is situated a short 10min drive from Chiang Mai so be aware you will either need a car or use the Villa driver (at a premium) for day trips. We really enjoyed our holiday in Chiang Mai, it is very different to many "Asian" holidays so if your going to do it... do it in style!

  Loved it!

  Had the most amazing days in the villa together with a group of friends. The Authentic style villa with its wooden carvings is just amazing. The surrounding scenery with the river running just passed the garden is breathtaking to say the least. The staff is friendly and always greets you politely and tend to your every need. I can only recommend this place to everyone traveling in a group or with family. Ill even consider it as place to get married one day because of the romantic feel and spacious areas.

  El hotel esta perfecto para desconectarse de la Ciudad , súper acogedor . Las habitaciones son bungalows muy lindas con baño amplio . Como está medio de vegetación si tienes temor a los bichos no lo recomiendo .

  Good for groups

  We are not usually villa people but chose this one because we were a family group of 2 couples and 2 young children. The location initially didn't appeal but after a walk, it became clear that it was basically rural. The property is very Thai, the staff are friendly and helpful but it is somewhat remote. We had 2 meals there and both were good. A problem was the smoggy air. In summary,the villa is a good solution for a group but 2 days is probably enough.

  Nice enough, not luxury

  It was always going to be hard to compare to our previous accommodation, but we remained hopeful. Unfortunately the villas didnt reach our expectations. Once upon a time they may have been luxury, but now theyre more a mid range option. The owner needs to upgrade a few areas really letting the property down. - bathrooms very dated and need to be upgraded. Not the cleanest but no amount of cleaning could overcome very tired facilities - Strong, Smoky smell particularly bad in front room, unable to sleep in there even with air con on. Not good for asthmatics. And our clothing all smelt of smoke after leaving. All the rooms smelt a bit stale - could really use a ceiling fan to circulate air. And probably furnishings needs to be replaced as theyve absorbed the smoky odour. - Mattresses very uncomfortable and rock hard! Plus you only get 2 pillows per bed. A luxury hotel would have beautiful linen, crisp sheets and at least 4 fluffy pillows per bed. The linen used here is not a luxury standard. Towels are also pretty worn out and tired - again should be better quality for the prices being charged. - Wifi doesnt work in most villas - Not allowed to flush toilet paper in toilet due to septic system - Very isolated, nothing within walking distance - Mis-matching lamps and lampshades. No big deal but contributes to an unpolished finish. - Nowhere to store valuables or lock room. It feels strange to leave everything in your room with no way to lock the doors and no safe. At a minimum there needs to be one safe installed for all guests to use. If youre coming with a couple of groups and happy to lounge by the pool all day and not interested in visiting surrounding Chiang Mai then this could be the place for you. Id recommend hiring a car to get around. Staff were lovely and attentive, and never intrusive which we appreciated. The food we ordered for dinners was delicious and reasonably priced. Overall we felt disappointed in the quality of the villas for very high end prices. Certainly not worth even close to $1200 AUD per night in my opinion. Being so isolated there should be at least one return complimentary trip to Chiang Mai (driver was 1200 baht each way!!) Luxury prices for a mid range stay.
