  Nada fue la que parecía

  Nos defraudó la habitación y el desayuno. La habitación era vieja, aunque cuidada, pero no estaba muy limpia. El baño estaba bastante viejo. Lo mejor fue el servicio técnico, tuvimos problemas con la máquina del aire y el técnico fue muy amable y acudido rápido. Desde luego, lo más defraudante fue el desayuno: la leche se paga aparte!!! No hay tostadas, ni cereales, ni fruta. Eso sí, el zumo riquísimo. No recomendamos este hotel.

  Not satisfied

  I stayed in this hotel overnight with family. We go to take a shower and realize someone's soap from the previous stay is still in the shower along with their long black hairs (which none of us have). I went to the front desk and made tee hem aware, cleaned it myself and they gave me $10 off my stay. I hardly think $10 is worth cleaning someone else's funk!!!! Will not stay here again. However, the staff was very nice!

  Forget this nut!

  I was booked into a handicapped access room because of availability. Where to start? * Some room upgrades completed recently (carpet and paint) that's where the positives ended. *Bathroom had black mold in shower and in corner by toilet. *Popcorn ceiling in shower is water damaged from above. *Entire bathroom floor gets wet when taking a shower. Good luck standing at the sink after you get out. * The mattress is soft spongy and very uneven and uncomfortable. *High speed internet is more like turtle speed and very unreliable. *Breakfast was a joke (even by covid standards), it was a bagged breakfast that had a bottle of water a small cup of mixed fruit a small blueberry muffin and a granola bar. I was told that the health department would not allow them to serve food or anything in the restaurant. However, my friends staying up the hill at the Hampton Inn had a breakfast buffet that was managed quite well. My attempt to get them to move me to another room was unsuccessful. If I could have obtained a room anywhere else I would have paid twice the rate just to get out of this room. The Chestnut Tree Inn has a lot of excuses for all the issues but does nothing to address guest concerns or to ensure that things are run properly. This property is old and I would stay anywhere else before here. There are better nuts to be plucked from the Tree in Cherokee, North Carolina than this property.,

  Terrible

  Chestnut Tree-what happened?? This has been our go to place for 20+ years, sadly this visit will be our last. I called the front desk to request house keeping (due to a filthy toilet/bath) & was told they had left. I will post pics of toilet after I went and purchased cleaning supplies & cleaned myself/ wish I had pics of before cleaning). Toilet apparently had overflowed and was left, we didnt take a shower on our 2 night stay due to dirty tub. Microwave had food/grease in it. Mold on ceiling over shower, part of ceiling in room was peeled off and patched. Due to going out of town to relax which lead to having to clean, not able to shower, etc.... we will find an alternative place to stay. SO sad as we have loved staying here in the past but this was a filthy room and a VERY disappointing stay. Front desk said they would address issues with housekeeping and apologized which didnt make our stay any pleasant. Apparently housekeeping changed the beds but did nothing else to get room ready for the next guest. Terrible, nasty accommodations.....

  Lovely hotel near Great Smoky Mountains NP

  The Chestnut Tree Inn is a lovely hotel in Cherokee. The best quality / price value you can find in town! We stayed there right after the first lockdown was announced back in March 2020 on our drive back home from our road trip. Breakfast was given under the forms of bags to go.
