    Happy holidays!!!!!

This is our second time at the Cherry Apart hotel in Turgutreis.... A small walk from the beach, restaurants, shopping, marina....all accomodation you need for holidays. The staff is very nice.... If you need anything and everything ask for Irfan !!!!! He is the One you need... Always smiling, very helpful, always care for his guests, he made our stay a stay in Paradise!!!! Besides, rooms are clean everyday, if you have a claim just go to the front desk they will do what you need. The swimmig pool is just amazing!!! And if you are looking for holidays with small crowd, come in September!!!!

    Very Disappointing

This hotel advertised wheelchair accessible room/s and wheelchair friendly overall, this is not so!! The entrance is over a half drain and up a ramp which requires 2 people to help you get up it,reception is usually closed and trying to find staff who speak any English is impossible! The whole complex is very difficult to negotiate as it is very rough ground with small cobblestones and stones, grassy areas very uneven. A room was eventually located which was supposed to be w/chair accessible,so a piece of wood for a ramp! then into room,a large step up to shower room,no hand rails because shower too small only room for one standing person!Empty shower gel and shampoo container. I put up with it for a couple of days but the staff were useless,no room cleaning, breakfast very minimal,I could go on but I have other things to do! I complained and was moved to another hotel but I will not be coming back to this one and I advise any wheelchair travellers not to go here.

    Good value, tranquil setting

Cherry bungalows are 5 min. away from the beaches in Turgutreis, the beautiful Marina, the bazaar, 3 major supermarkets. The place has everything going for it: spacious 2-room bungalows with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, large clean swimming pool, decent breakfast & dining buffets, friendly staff, beautiful landscaping. Service & amenities: like in a 3-star European hotel.

    for sale

on arrival - there is a for sale sign. the apartments are being converted and sold to local Turkish old people. this meant that there were builders, building noise and building debris everywhere. i actually do not want to sit around the pool in my bikini as the only English woman there whilst there are a fair few Turkish builders who are working on the apartments all around the pool side. the noise was unbearable - all day long. it started at 8.30am ....i am on holiday, i don't want to get up at 8.30 and if i did it would not be because i am forced awake by a very very loud wood saw. we were the only holiday makers there. there were 3 local old ladies who had bought the apartments, but it was just me and my husband on our own. we were shown to our room, there is no balcony, there is no outside area, there is no outside table and chairs. there is no pool table as in the pictures on booking on your site. we were hungry and thirsty - we went to the bar and asked if there was a snack menu - we were told no. is there any efes beer we asked - no. so lets recap - i am on my holiday - hard earned holiday on a building site complex which is being sold to old people. as the only holiday makers being woken up at 8.30 am and there is no pool table, no snack menu and no local beer. no outside seating area. we go to town - we are hungry. we returned before midnight. there are no lights on in the public walkways, the guy behind the bar sees us...closes the door and turns the light off. we asked him to turn it back on - we didn't have an outside area you see, so we sat there and chatted my husband and i. not wanting to be forced to sit in our room - it was one bedroom - no lounge area. the next morning we went to breakfast - the place is empty, the breakfast bar area not even open - a cat lying next to the unused coffee machine and covered baskets.. finished breakfast and they had to be asked to put the swimming pool filter on. half way through the holiday we had to ask for new towels, the bed wasn't changed a cleaner never came once. halfway through the holiday we noticed Turkish people visiting - looking around the apartments and being given something to eat - so we asked if the snack menu was on now? hamburger they said - just hamburger.....microwaved. i can get a hamburger anywhere, i wanted lovely Turkish food. the Turkish people got lovely meals with fresh veg, soup to start and fruit to finish. the level of English was quite poor the wifi access was poor to non existent. i put a lot of research into the holidays i choose and we have been to turgutreis before and liked the area. i like to have the odd chat with other holiday makers at the apartments i choose, we like to have a bit of a chat with the local staff at the apartments when we go on holiday - there were no people, and the few staff never had a conversation beyond taking an order for a drink. The bin in the apartment was full when we got there, the plastic moulded sink area had fag burns in it. i didn't book a 5 star hotel - but i do expect the facilities i am told exist, cleanliness and customer service

    Disappointing

Having stayed at Club Cherry for the past 3 years and having enjoyed previous holidays we were really disappointed during our latest trip. The whole place is abuilding site; as the owners are converting the rooms into apartments to sell. The noise was dreadful and no consideration was given in terms of when the work started or ended. The staff in the restaurant and reception tried their best, but clearly the place should have closed. Pure greed on behalf of the owners to continue taking bookings. This is no longer a decent place to stay.
