  Excellent value for money

  We booked two rooms for one night as travelling onward. What a brilliant find the location was beautiful, the staff very friendly and welcoming, rooms nicely furnished and very comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and the food was fantastic freshly prepared and tasted amazing. Superb freshly cooked Indian selection along with a variety of English dishes. Couldnt recommend enough.

  Good accommodation

  We stayed here for 2 nights. Very clean. Comfortable. Friendly family hosts. Good breakfast. Lovely pub serving good food. Convenient for Oxford if using the park and ride and there are two are nearby.

  Excellent pub & restaurant

  We stayed here for two nights in late Sept 2020. Everything about this pub is great, the welcome was warm and friendly we had a lovely room and the food was well prepared and good. The stay was good value for money and the car parking easy and private. We were walking some of the Thames path around Oxford and this was an ideal location. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I particularly enjoyed the Indian specials for the evening meal. The menu was extensive and provided for all tastes. All in all I would fully recommend a stay here.

  Very friendly and great accommodation.

  We recently spent a night here while doing a mini tour around central/southern England. Our room was small but totally adequate. We ate in the restaurant and had a fab Indian meal, the home made samosas were excellent! Breakfast was also very good. The owner and his family were lovely and welcoming. The village is tiny but the Red Lion pub down the road is well worth a visit & all the locals were very friendly.

  Lovely stay in village pub

  Stayed one night to see family who live in village as we couldnt stay with them due to Covid rules. Rooms were very comfortable and clean, breakfast was good and the family that run it were very friendly and helpful. It was a pleasure to spend the night there, we didnt eat dinner at the pub but the menu looked good and it was quite busy which must be a good sign. Its not a five star hotel but for rooms in a village pub and for value for money it easily earns a five star review.
