  Ojalá pudiera volver todos los años

  Sencillamente perfecto. Llegamos a él de casualidad ya x la noche. Para el día siguiente teníamos plan de quedarnos en otro pueblo pero decidimos volver a Chatham sólo para poder quedarnos otra noche en ell Wayside Inn. En ningún sitio íbamos a estar mejor. La habitación es como la q uno querría tener en su casa. El personal es encantador. Y el desayuno, espectacular. Sueño con esas French Toast desde entonces.

  Relaxing!

  My daughter and I were traveling on business and recently stayed at the Chatham Wayside overnight. Cape Cod was pretty calm this time of year. The staff at the hotel was very welcoming and kind. The room was really beautiful -- a double queen suite with an outside sitting area. The room was very clean and updated in a quaint way. The bathroom was very spacious and clean. Breakfast was included in the room rate (about $250) and there was always hot coffee available. The location of this hotel is amazing -- directly on Main Street in Chatham within walking distance of dozens of shops and restaurants. Parking was free in their large lot. Wish we could have stayed longer.

  Bad COVID-19 POLICY

  My nephew was to be married in October in Chatham and had blocked off rooms at the Wayside Inn for his traveling guests. We had booked a room for two nights under that block. Unfortunately, my nephew's wedding venue canceled the wedding due to COVID-19 restrictions and limits on the number of guests. This cancellation took place in July, a full 3 months before the booked dates at the Wayside Inn. We promptly called to cancel our reservation, informing the Wayside Inn that our nephew planned to rebook his wedding in the spring of 2021 if restrictions were lifted, but under the circumstances, had not settled on a date. We informed them that we would re-book our room at that time. They canceled our reservation, but IMPOSED A $75 cancellation fee. We asked, that under the circumstances, would they waive the $75 fee? They rudely replied that they wouldn't! Conversely, my son's wedding was also canceled due to COVID-19, and all hotel reservations, venue deposits were fully refunded. I own multiple properties on AIRBNB and have fully refunded any of my guests who have canceled due to COVID-19. Because of the the rude manner in which we were responded to by the Manager at Wayside Inn, as well as their inflexibility during these extenuating circumstances, I would urge all to book there with caution. I know that when my nephew reschedules his wedding, we will be staying elsewhere!

  Perfect Pandemic Hideaway

  During this crazy year of 2020, the beloved Chatham Wayside Inn has created a pristine & disinfected environment that shields its guests from this crazy Covid Pandemic. Everything at this beautiful hideaway is sanitized and clean. Banisters and door knobs and tables and chairs are constantly being sprayed by their staff. The spacious buildings and central parking area assure Social Distancing. Thankfully, the Town of Chatham has an Indoor / Outdoor Mask Law ($300+ fine) that helps assure the safety of everyone in the area. Special mention to the attached Grey Goose Bar & Restaurant for cleaning and spraying (chairs & tables, etc) at an incredible and methodical pace. Their outdoor dining was perfectly safe... indoor dining space was almost as assuring. Main Street in Chatham is the best central (and quaint) shopping & restaurant street on the entire Cape. Wayside is centrally located right in the middle of this perfect scene; you can walk to everything So, If you need to get away for a vacation, but you're nervous about the risk, then Wayside is as close as you can get to being as "safe as home." This is a great hotel with spacious, meticulous rooms that have perfect a/c, heat, showers, comfy beds and great tvs. However, I was most impressed with their cleanliness and care during these crazy times. A job-well-done by everyone there! The only negative is the lack of in-room fridges... for a pretty expensive hotel, how can they skip a fridge? In summation: An easy 6 Stars (5 for the hotel plus one for pandemic awareness). It was real pleasure for our August 2020 trip.

  Really great!

  Had a lovely long weekend stay here. It was clean and fit the beach-y style of Chatham. Staff was super friendly. Felt safe in the currently crazy covid times. Housekeeping was honestly superb- I left the room, met my family, then had to run back for a forgotten item and my room was already fully serviced. I was impressed. It's smack dab in the middle of downtown so you're walking distance from literally everything...cute shops, restaurants, art galleries, ice cream shops ect ect. Also the restaurant, The Wild Goose Tavern, that is attached is really awesome. Amazing food and drinks. The only thing I'd say is that it's super overpriced for what it is, but it's cape cod so it's gonna be expensive.
