  Great choice for a calm and relaxing stay in a large resort

  I have been coming to Monty regularly for several years. But the hotel changed the owner and it is visible at every step. New owners invest in the hotel, every time there's something new here and I can see them constantly among the guests. Room amenities were improved. The design is not my cup of coffee, because the owners cater for their idea of a luxury European castle, there are perhaps 300 new pictures in golden frames, but it is beautiful to see that the hotel is constantly improving. Services have also improved and gastronomy has changed completely so has the room service and bar services. We would particularly like to thank the bartender Olga. The chef is present at dinner recommending and asking guests if they are enjyoing the meal. I have not experienced this before. The Monty hotel, with its location, perfect services and amazing staff, is one of my favourites. Thank you.

  Nice place but definitely not handicap accessible

  When we arrived at the hotel we were impressed with its appearance. Our impression was a bit dashed by the woman at reception who could have not been more unfriendly or unwelcoming and chased us away telling us to return after 2 pm. When we finally checked in we were given a room with no shower despite our request for a handicap accessible room. This was changed but the room was still not very accessible to us. The toilet not at all and the shower difficult to get into. We were led to believe on-line that the hotel was handicap accessible. Our real horror came when we were told that there was no elevator access to the pool and that we would have to climb up and down two large flights of stairs to get to the pool. This is just not acceptable of a resort in this day and age. Had we known this we would have avoided the place altogether. A lift needs to be put in to the pool so that everyone can use and enjoy the facilities. The hotel staff was generally friendly except for the middle aged woman at reception but few spoke German and even fewer spoke English. The clientele is for the most part Russian and Czech and they don't appear to want to have English speaking guests. I think making the pool and roman bath accessible with a lift will help significantly. We might go back if they put in a lift to the pool and sundeck.

  Wedding anniversary

  The hotel offers great location and amazing view. Rooms are okay, nothing extra fancy but clean. Swimming pool is quite large, extra charge for sauna required. Wide selection of food in the buffet, live music in the evening. The rest is rather average, most horrible is the staff. Everyone is rather unfriendly and unhelpful. Not good for any tourists except Russian or German. Very few speak Czech, have not heard any English either. The staff just speaks Russian and expects you to do so too. Very dissapppinted with the service.

  Horrible service

  We originally came here for a relaxing weekend and due to the horrible service we ended up with a fear even to ask for anything. The staff was extremely rude to us and I would definitely not recommend this hotel. It got to an extreme where we were scared to order anything.

  Total relaxation and quite

  Perched on a hill overlooking a most picturesque town, Monty is a real getaway, a very different type of vacation. A wide variety of spa treatments offered. recommend take the half-board package, food not fabulous but plenty of it and a wide variety. Pool, sauna, lovely walks into town (inclined paths, but not difficult), friendly service. Deluxe room offers a balcony, well worth it because of the beautiful views. 130 CZK taxi from the station and to most places in town. Stayed for 5 days, walked everywhere. Excellent free wifi. A wonderful restful getaway.
