  A Great Bed and Breakfast with an even better host!

  I thoroughly enjoyed my brief stay at the Charles Bass House. The building is absolutely gorgeous and the suite I rented was very spacious and a steal! The host was wonderful to sit down and speak with but still respectful of my space when I wanted to relax. I strongly recommend checking this place out!

  Our second visit and we'll come again we we come back to SoBo.

  I'm from South Boston but have not lived there for a long time. So when we visit for special occasions we have found John's Charles Bass House to be a wonderful way to relax, be very comfortable and enjoy our stay. Beautiful home, lots of plants and greenery, an excellent hot tub, the ambiance is very welcoming, and John is the consummate host. We have stayed at many B&B's and this one ranks with some of the best, hence we will be back.

  Charming B&B for a delightful stay in South Boston

  The Charles Bass House B&B is a charming, beautiful property. John, the owner, serves up a lovely breakfast and provides the perfect dose of Southern hospitality. If you are considering booking a stay here, stop overthinking it and book right now - you won't be sorry! The house is full of windows and natural sunlight, and is well appointed with top quality linens and appealing decor. The downstairs Guest Suite is huge, the bed is super comfortable, and the whole house is very clean. My husband and I had a delightful experience at the Charles Bass House B&B and we can't wait to stay here again the next time our travels take us through South Boston. Do yourself a favor and book a stay here (or surprise a loved one by treating them to a night or two here - it is such a treat!). I really cannot say enough nice things about this fabulous B&B gem!

  Treat yourself to wonderful hospitality in southern Virginia

  Find your way to the beautiful Charles Bass house in South Boston, VA. The house is beautiful and gracious. The rooms are beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable. I stayed in the lovely first floor suite which included an adjoining bathroom and large sitting room with TV. The bedroom is spacious and there is plenty of room to store clothes and luggage. The bed is delightful. John is the consummate host. He is a good communicator and welcomes any questions or clarifications about the reservations. He makes a wonderful breakfast each morning. The hot tub is an extra treat especially on cool fall evenings. Thanks John for a great stay!

  Excellent Accommodations

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt as comfortable in this beautiful home as if we were in our own home. The hostesss cordial and gracious hospitality added a distinguishable touch when compared with other places. A highlight of the stay includes a health conscious well prepared breakfast meal from a menu of freshly baked muffins, toasts, bacon, eggs of choice, fresh fruit, juice, and freshly brewed coffee and/or tea. Breakfast is served in a large colonial dining room tastefully decorated all lending to a beautiful experience. Relaxing amenities such as a hot tub, sun/reading room, a library of good reads and sounds of soft easy listening music coaxes you to extend your stay for another day of enjoyment. A great getaway or stop in South Central Virginia.
