    Nice and relaxing

    Nice and relaxing hotel and place for holiday. We staid here in 2 weeks and have a nice holiday in a bungalow. The hotel is close to a clean beach where we walked around every day. Nice and helpful staff who did everything they could to make our stay a pleasant one. The breakfast was great. The food in the restaurant was very good, a lot of seafood. Difficult to get local wine at the restaurants in the area. Lot of locals in the weekend. We hope to go back again.

    Old bungalows.... need renovating

    I stayed here a few yrs ago and recently returned. From the outside the bungalows look fresh and new. But on the inside they are old. One wall in our bungalow was kind of mouldy and paint peeling away. Air con was leaking. Toilet would not flush. I was shocked at how much this place had gone down hill. Staff at the restaurant are friendly but a bit hopeless. Seems like they have no idea what they are doing. Next time I stay at the new Sand dunes chaolao. The boss at tosang needs to spend money to renovate all bungalows in my humble opinion.

    Excellent

    This was a great experience dining right on the Gulf's doorstep. The menu was ok, not too extensive but mainly seafood with some western dishes available. Service could've been more attentive, but not an issue. Overall I'd highly recommend it.

    Lovely Family Trip on Songkarn

    If you are looking for a get away for multiple generations during Songkarn, the front beach villa was great. The price also included breakfast and dinner buffet. But, you really need to book and pay months in advance. Elderly love the atmosphere and dedicated staffs.

    Worst service & management of booking.

    Arrived today and can already say I will never come back. The room we booked online was not the room type we were given, when this was challenged, we were told "that type is full". In addition, they requested I pay, although I mentioned I was almost certain Booking.com had already deducted money from my card. They assured me it hadn't been paid and after verifying it with the bank, it turned out they had messed up once again. To make matters worse, the front desk staff basically wanted my wife to sort out the problem that they had essentially caused. Even the bank employee was saying over the phone, no you, the hotel, need to do this. After my wife rejected the managers offer of a 500 baht voucher for booking the wrong room and insisted on decent compensation, the manager accepted to offer a free night, but reluctantly moaned about how this affected him personally. In addition we are still on calls sorting out the problem they caused with the booking agent. Its completely ruined the first night of the holiday & frankly the bar is so low right now that I really don't think it could get much worse. I've lived in Thailand 14 years and have never experienced this level of incompetence from any hotel. On the positive side, for anyone willing to deal with the above type of headaches, the food is pretty good and the restaurant staff were pleasant. Rooms are ok, nothing to write home about.
