  Avoid if you can

  The facility is very dated and needs many upgrades.Wifi only worked a few hours.The staff were nice, but the manager was not. He shouted with us, because he did not find our reservation. We got a room but we could not close the door. Our flight was in the early morning, the evening before departure we discussed with the receptionist the departure time. In the morning everybody slept and we needed to arouse them. It was terrible.

  Spa???

  Not overly sure where the spa title comes into anything as we never saw or were offered any spa facilities. We new when booking about the boat trsf every hour which suited us as we like a bit of adventure. With the site being so empty though it seems they just go whenever which doesn't work when you're sat at the pickup point in town with no for me of communication to tell them you're waiting for a pickup. Easy check-in although when we asked about the services they advertised as offering they didn't seem to have a clue. The room itself was great. Air conditioned worked a dream although it took a long time to cool with the too. Being so big. The rooms were cleaned no problem at all. The breakfast itself was nice but so so unorganized. There were only 2 of us and a toddler and the amount of things that were missing off the order was quite amusing. The second day we over ordered to compensate the fact that half the stuff didn't turn up to find it taking 4 staff over 45 minutes to provide items that should take 1 person 5 minutes. Very unorganized but tasty when it finally arrived although by this point we had to leave half of it as we had a prebooked trip to catch on the opposite side of the river. The main reason we booked this place was the pool me being heavily pregnant and with a small child in tow it was non optional in the heat. However it is abandoned. Not a joke. The bottom is green. Obviously never seen chlorine. We did go in as we had promised our poor little boy after a hot day a nice swim but we all stank afterwards. The boards around the pool all need replacing as they are rotted through and many, many nails are sticking up. It's very very dangerous. Given this we left a day early and booked a lovely place in town (originally our 2nd choice) but never mind we got a clean pool and a happy family.

  scary place

  u r ricking urself if chosen to stay here as only u will be there and crossing river is tough. BF is worst. Room is in another level worst. Its dying palace. Please do not go there. I ask agoda to remove this hotel as you will save few people from dead due to river took away during flooding or dried down.

  Green slimy pool

  This place is nothing like it's website profile. The bar and restaurant aren't in use. We arrived on a hot day and looked forward to a swim. Big disappointment....the pool area was overgrown, no pool furniture or umbrellas and the pool itself was green and slimy. Was advised that it might be cleaned the next day but maybe not! The room was neat and tidy but a very cramped and mouldy bathroom. We were so disappointed that we left that same day and booked into a lovely boutique hotel in the centre of Luang Prabang.

  DON,T WASTE YOUR MONEY...

  Picked up at airport by this hotel, drove miles on horrible rough dirt tracks, arrive to what I understand to be a ferry crossing across the Mekong River, met there by Hotel staff & was told my booking had been canceled, no reasons given, lodged my complaint with Agoda re this rotten hotel canceling my booking & 2 days later all was sorted out by my booking company ( Agoda.) Never ever would recommend this hotel to my worst enemy.... Horrid experience & most stressful....
