  Lovely as always

  Having returned for our 20th year with a bit of apprehension due to the current Covid situation, I have to say that everything to make the stay safe was in place. The staff at Springs are fantastic and although we are normally a large group, I have to say that we were catered for in the same welcoming manner, attention to detail as we always receive. Having been to a few of the Champneys resorts, Springs is my favorite. The layout of the venue is superb for groups and still offers the intimacy for couples. Thank you once again for a wonderful stay.

  My stay at Champney Springs was exceptional, it was thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing. The room was delightful,very clean and well maintained. Food was excellent,all staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble.

  5 star service but spa needs a facelift.

  We have just returned from a couple of nights for a pampering and I have to say have come home feeling rested and refreshed. The treatments were fabulous and every therapist clearly very well trained and experienced. Sharon the foot specialist made my feet look like ladies - a feet in itself! Gemma was very good at facials and body massage. A mention must also go to Annette who welcomed us and could not have been more helpful or professional. Now for the downside - the resort is tired and whilst we appreciate the nervousness to invest in the current climate this did not represent the Champneys brand. We upgraded and our room whilst clean was below par. The bathroom was terrible and whilst we were there no hot water after 16.00. The phone that we were told we should use had no means of connecting it so was ornamental. We did bring these points up and they were addressed. COVID measures were good and we felt safe for all of our time there. Finally I know its a health spa but the food was average and the chef had a penchant for under seasoning and throwing tarragon and cinnamon in food liberally. The staff were all terrific but please Champneys treat the resort to a refresh.

  Champneys refuse to issue refunds despite closing

  I booked 3 nights with Champneys which was cancelled due to COVID restrictions. legally they should refund but they refused. I am now pursuing my repayment via the small claims court. Very disappointed at their attitude.

  A blissful escape with wonderful staff and three days spent in my robe - heaven!

  I write feel-good fiction for a living and this year has really tested my ability to switch off from the world and do just that. I managed to book into Springs for their final three nights of opening prior to lockdown so that I could lock myself away and write. From the moment I entered I was impressed with the professionalism of the staff. Having just found out that their place of work was closing again, I'd expected a subdued atmosphere, but that wasn't the case. From Amy in reception, to Jemma who massaged me practically to sleep to the lovely staff in the restaurant, everyone went out of their way to ensure my time with them was the best it could be. A special mention to my favourite Clarins consultant whose name I didn't get but enjoyed several conversations with, she was a star. I wrote eleven thousand words during my stay - more than I'd done in the entire previous month! THANK YOU Champneys, I can't wait to come back!
