  Like a Fairytale

  My husband and I visited Snowmass for the first time last week and stayed at Chamonix. We booked through Stay Aspen Snowmass and the Snowmass Lodging Company managed our reservation. Everything was absolutely perfect! We loved our unit at Chamonix and thought that Snowmass was the most beautiful place on earth. Our unit was beautifully decorated, modern and chic. It was cleaned everyday for us. It was so nice coming back to a warm, comfy & cozy room everyday after our fun filled days in the snow. We booked our ski lessons through them as well and am so happy we did because we had the best time. The instructors at ski school were top notch. We will be back!

  Nice location with shuttle service and great views

  Rented from vrbo and everything went great from shuttle pick up at airport, to receiving our lift tix at the front desk, to the beautiful condo and views, to relaxing in the hot tub in the evening. We used the free Chamonix shuttle service exclusively to get around Snowmass and when we went to Aspen took the free bus; no car rental necessary which is a plus in my opinion. It is ski in ski out but condo is slightly uphill and I'm not a good enough skier for that so we always took shuttle to base village and back again. Note, there are no sidewalks to village so not really a safe option to walk in winter even though the distance is not far. I wish I could have stayed longer than 5 days.

  Convenient Condo

  Great location in Snowmass either in the warm season or winter. Right near the gondola it provides beautiful views and easy access to ski lifts. Our condo, #33, was roomy enough with three bedrooms each with a bath. No A/C but the climate there doesn't usually call for it. The overall feel is a little "tired" but that is not a major distraction. There is a shuttle service which was very helpful. Heated outdoor pool and hot tub are pluses. Sufficient provisions in the kitchen for those who like to cook their own meals, even with an electric grill on the disappointingly small patio. Pretty pricey but that comes with the location.

  Absolutely enchanting

  Chamonix in Snowmass is simply one of the best places we have stayed. The staff is amazingly attentive and accommodating and the site itself is utter bliss! We stayed for five nights and loved every moment. The amenities are superb and delicious dining is close by. Our condo was of luxury quality and the views spectacular! Everything was top drawer. Cant wait for next year!

  Dont stay in Unit 33!

  My family of 5 adults stayed in unit 33 for 5 nights and while the location was perfect and the staff at the Chamonix were exceptionally pleasant and responsive to our requests and needs, the unit itself had a lot of unresolved issues. For example, the shower in one of the bathrooms had a broken handle which the staff had known about for a long time and even commented that the broken part had been glued 10 times, the owner knew about it and had not replaced it as requested. A wrench had to be attached to the bolt on the shower control to turn it on. Most of the automatic power-rise shades did not work or were missing from the windows. Again, we were informed that the owner was aware of this but had done nothing to repair or replace them. Consequently, we were unable to see the view from one whole side of the unit or open a window on that side of the condo for fresh air ventilation. The water spout in the master suite was loose. The humidifier one family member used was moldy (creating a risk of upper respiratory infection for anyone using it). The coffee pot lid was broken. The carpet was disgustingdirty, stained, bleached in some areas; it looks like the original 30-year old carpet. The owners provided NOTHING in the kitchen to accommodate meal preparationnot even salt and pepper, Saran Wrap, aluminum foil, food storage bags, napkins or even chip clips, not even a rubber band was to be found! If you wanted to prepare a meal, you had to buy EVERYTHING from spices to storage bags.
