  I feel betrayed and unwelcomed

  A hotel where the staff just want to find ways to steal the deposition. The floor is leaking so when you shower water flows right down to the kitchen. My dinner tasted like soap. The owner is also making bad jokes about how they will "touch our money". Not recommended, and you have to walk a very long way to reach the skiing.

  Shady staff and loss of deposit for unreal reasons

  At Edelweiss it is impossible to feel comfortable at night because of a really shady guard. When you come at night we often found him sitting on a bench in the lobby playing with his taser. He was also walking around the hotel and using his flashlights to see through our windows. That is just some of bad stories with the guard. The woman that was in charge of check-in and check out was bare insane an impossible to communicate with. She was also in charge of our deposits and stuff like bad language and a little noise cost us 600 euros. Never go.

  Disappointed

  Pros: Okay location. A couple of minutes walk to city centre and five minutes walk to the closest lift. Cons: The rooms does not feel very fresh/well cleaned. Rude staff and poor service. WiFi is not working. You need to buy a lot of necessities to the room yourself (toilet paper/soap etc.) Sum: Would not recommend.

  Great trip! Ignore negative reviews.

  If you are thinking about staying here and feel that the negative reviews put you off. Ignore them! Elena the host is a very friendly person and immediately when we arrived was very friendly accommodating and was very professional. We arrived early before check in so she allowed us to get changed in a spare room meaning we could get the most out of our skiing holiday. After then checking into our room there was fresh bedding and towels on the bed along with toilet paper in the bathroom (one of the reviews state there was none). There was no up front deposits we had to pay and elena was available almost whenever we needed her (only on the day of check in we needed her). People complaining about the walk to the slopes in my opinion are lazy, there are free ski lockers which you can use for a small deposit however it is only a 5 minute walk. Overall, great stay and I would reccomend anyone to book this accommodation. Thanks!

  Good value ski accommodation in Sestriere centre

  We enjoyed 5 nights in Chalet Edelweiss in early March 2018. The apartment was comfortable, warm and clean. 8 of us (adults) stayed in the standard 2 bed apartment. It was cozy, but at the price we paid that was expected. The flat was well equipped with all the required kitchen utensils. The apartment had plenty of storage space, good WiFi and the bathrooms were clean with plenty of hot water. The location is ideal, with a 10 minute walk to the main ski area, however I recommend storing your skis at the Rent and Go lockers. In reference to the reviews below we were not asked to pay a deposit, we never saw a security guard and the majority of the pictures matched our room. The lady at reception was kind and helpful. She gave us a voucher to get a small discount on the ski passes. Some of our group were light sleepers and commented that the chalet was noisy, with squeaky floors and heating sounds at night. If your group plan to follow the same sleeping pattern that works best. Overall thank you for a great trip to Sestriere.
