  Muy buen apartamento

  Estuvimos alojados del 27/28 de diciembre al 3 de enero en el chalet chamois. Muy tranquilo, limpio, luminoso, y perfectamente preparado para nuestra llegada (difucltosa por el enorme atasco enlas carreteras) dejando las llaves en la recepcion. Cerca de las pistas, se accede a las mismas con un arrastre o bien con el ascensor situado a pocos metros. El local para guardar esquis, esta a pie del chalet, lo que se encuentra a faltar es para calentar las botas, y el wifi en el apartamento. Un consejo no alquilar los esquis en SKISET, el establecimiento situado en la Residencia. El trato no es el adecuado.

  INMEJORABLE

  Reservamos un apartamento de "Chalet des NEiges Arolles" para cuatro personas en la cota 2000 de Les Arcs. El apartamento es excelente. Dispone de 3 habitaciones (1 estilo suite), 3 baños y un comedor enorme con fuego a tierra y un balconcito que rodea el apartamento. El apartamento es amplio, se encuentra practicamente a pie de pistas (se tiene que coger un tele-arrastre). Existe un garaje cubierto en el que tambié se accede a los armarios porta-esquíes (suficientemente amplios) y a la piscina. Como "única" pega, por decir el algo, es que la habitación sólo dispone de servicio wifi de pago, aunque el wifi es gratuito en la recepción del hotel. Los apartamentos disponen también de un restaurante al lado mismo del alojamiento, es decir, independientes. Comimos un dia y perfecto. En definitiva, estuvimos de auténtico lujo y sólo tengo palabras de elogio respecto este alojamiento. Recomendación/consejo: No dejen de visitar el pueblecito idílico de les Arcs en la cota 1950 al que se puede acceder en escasos 2 minutos mediante el "huevo" que enlaza las diferentes cotas de la estación. imagen de postal.

  Small things stop it being PERFECT, but very bookable and recommended.

  So I'll tell you the negatives, right up front. Whilst this apartment block is shown as being in the Arc2000 resort, its more like Arc1998. It's a one minute walk to a button lift that hauls you quickly up to the 2000 plateau where everything is. As well there is a lift in the building opposite the excellent (see seperate review) SkiSet rental shop that takes you up to the platform that goes to a small slope that goes DOWN to the main plateau. (you follow me?). This all works excellently well during the day and the location is STUNNING. We used L7, with a view over the Marmotte piste area. BUT, at night it's a pain. Firstly you either have to go up in the lift and slippy slide down the beginners slope next to the magic carpet tunnel OR you take your life into your hands and slide up next to the button. Once you've done that you can access the restaurants or the (brillant) bowling alley OR the even MORE brilliant Cabriolet lift to 1950. Then of course you have to get back and reverse the above. But seriously, don't let this put you off. The apartment is fantastic, the service team equally so. The resort is wonderful and we're going to book to go back next year. Same place, same room. But there are some more MINI gripes that I hope the management take note of and rectify. 1. There's only one functional shelf in the oven which is very limiting when the apartment accommodates twelve. 2. No washing machine in the unit. Would have been FAB. 3. Please build a bridge to the Cabriolet!! Just kidding on the last one, but please bear in mind I'm being ULTRA critical. The unit and the holiday were superb as was the service we received EVERYWHERE. The beds were fantastic, wonderful nights sleep. Oh and one more moan, the checkout procedure cost us about two hours in traffic. Grrr. See you next year.

  somewhat off-piste, apartments are ok

  In Chalet des Neiges Les Arolles, you stay in clean apartments with good beds and clean linen. Apartments are rather limited in space (tiny bathrooms). In the official description, they count 2 persons too much (sofa bed in living room). Equipment in kitchen is very ok (rather new, everything you need, good condition). Blonde lady at reception is extremely friendly and welcome. However, Arcs 2000 in general is a rather artificial station, without charm or soul. Better consider one of the lower stations.

  Great location and staff, living space is small, so advise against booking with the upper limit numbers

  The first think to say is the staff (particularity those on reception) are fantastic, they are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, they made the stay really pleasant. The location is great as you can walk out of the door into the skiing area. As the resort is high up we had plenty of snow, at a time when other people we know in other resorts had none or little. The rooms are really nice and the TV had a french channel with all the prem and champions league footy on it, which was great for my boys). The only down side is the size of the rooms, unless you are all couples who can share a bed and small areas, don't book anywhere close to the limits (so if they state 4-6 persons, go with 4 (6 persons mean you have two sharing a sofa bed in the lounge and the only private space you will have is the single toilet!) We had 12 (5 adults and 7 kids across two apartments that they said could take "up to" 14 persons and we were on top of each other all week. The beds are comfortable and you can survive quite easily using the local shop,which has an amazing range of food and is only 4 doors to the left). They also have a wash room with two clothes washers and a tumble dryer, all free to use. We stayed in the 3rd week of Feb (school holiday time for both UK AND France), so the slopes were very busy, but manageable (don't waste your money buying the "fast track ski passes - as they are a waste of time - poorly managed at the lifts and most of the lifts don't even have a fast track!) All in all a really good stay in a convenient and clean apartment, The Staff are brilliant.
