  Such a good stay, it was hard to leave

  I came to ski in Crans Montana upon referral from a friend who had been there just before and has family in the area. It seemed like a good place for its lack of being a major international destination, so you had a lot of local tourists and a low-key feel. The chalet is located in a small village (Lens) outside of Crans Montana town proper, and has a great view to the West overlooking the valley between 2 major ski stations (Anzere and Crans-Montana). The owners/managers were brilliant, made us feel very welcome and were very organized. The chalet itself is quite a new building with very good facilities and comfort, including a ski storage room which is kept dry and warm in order to dry your gear out overnight. It is also a B&B establishment, so their rates include breakfast (continental). They also offer dinner, as long as you provide sufficient notice. Overall, my gf and I were very impressed, and would love to go back at some point in the future. We were there only for a short stay (3 nights), but having to leave to go back to work the next day was tough...

  Swiss Paradise!

  It was a dream come true! Such wonderful hosts and a beautiful and comfortable home. Spring was beautiful and quiet. This would be an ideal location for friends or a romantic trip. The view was outstanding, and the village was terrific and we enjoyed the scenery (cow bells from the hillside and alpine flowers) and dining. It would have been easy to spend a week relaxing! Gary was amazingly helpful....he gave great guidance to us and showed us maps, so we spent our time well. I would return in a hearbeat!!!

  Superb views from the balcony, quality rooms and great atmosphere

  Amazing views, clean fresh area, the property was very clean, good breakfast. Hotel rooms were spacious . Good place to relax and hosts were welcoming and helpful. I would recommend this place and come back again.

  Lovely retreat in the heart of the Alps

  I had an overnight to mountain bike in Crans-Montana as part of a larger trip. I wished I had planned to stay longer, because Chalet des Alpes was delightful. My room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. Most of all, the ambience and view were amazing. My balcony offered a sweeping view of the mountains and valley. The village of Lens was a short walk away and was utterly charming. Another reviewer said that a car was almost a necessity to visit this area. I would say that as long as you don't have a ton of stuff to carry, you can get by on public transit - there's a post-bus that comes within a 5-minute walk of the property, which goes between the Crans-Montana funicular station and Lens. The funicular takes you up to Crans from the train station in the valley town of Sierre. Having found such a lovely lodging in a fun mountain biking area, I will definitely be back for a longer stay.

  Beautiful setting and views, quiet

  Lovely room (one of four) in a family house a couple of hours drive from Geneva. Rooms very clean and warm and comfortable. We paid extra for one of the rooms with a balcony. Comfortable walking distance into town. Nice continental breakfast. TV and hairdryer in room. Also kettle. however only one tea bag, one sachet of coffee and one sachet of sugar each per day ... no milk, only downside of stay for me, otherwise wonderful break.
