    Fantastic stay!

Excellent stay, me and my family spent an amazing time in Arabba and this Chalet was amazing for us! Great view, rooms were close to each other with an interconnecting door in the balcony which was so convenient. Typical mountains decor in and out which was so cute! The mini spa was so good, is what you need after walking sooo many hours! Only suggestion you might add a minifridge in the room so that guests can put their own drinks and food (there is a small one with drinks to purchase but you cannot use it for your personal items). Breakfast was excellent, my dad definately enjoyed the eggs! The lady at the breakfast was so nice as always smiling and the guy at the reception was great! Excellent costumer service! Thank you for you help and for suggesting us around. Grazie mille!

Challet Barbara for the fourth time

We have just returned from Arabba where we stayed in Challet Barbara for skiing trip for 6 days - for the fourth time. It is simply so charming place we just love. It is so beautiful, clean, very nicely decorated and the staff is just wonderful. I have to say that Nico and Clara gave this place a real soul. They are so nice and helpful with anything you need. You feel they are giving their heart to the place and people really love it. We often meet people we have met a year ago there. They are coming back to Barbara because there is this feeling of honest and caring attitude of the staff. Dusan, UK

    Brilliant holiday

We have previously stayed at the sister hotel - sporthotel arabba so we knew what standard to expect. We opted for half board with evening meal in the sporthotel- this involved a treacherous walk down the hill each night so beware and maybe take ski poles with you, however once you get there the food and service are excellent. The breakfasts were good and plentiful with eggs cooked to order. The staff were great and very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. One nice touch would have been to have some cakes in the bar in the afternoon I think then more people would have used it, however our afternoon drink was always very pleasant with nibbles provided. The rooms were well appointed again we sort of knew what we were going to get standard wise having stayed at sporthotel before. One downside is Crystal Ski do not have a rep in resort so there are no trips out etc you have to do that yourself, fine if you dont book through Crystal. The Sporthotel and Barbara are family run and it really shows in their attention to service.

    Highly recommended

Wonderful chalet in a fabulous little Dolomites village. The host was helpful, pleasant and friendly and very happy to store our excess baggage for a week while we headed off on a tour. The room was very comfortable, clean and had these fantastic shutters that closed to make the room completely black. Breakfast was brilliant- beautifully presented, every taste catered for, excellent service, great coffee- highly recommended!

    Ski-ing

Stayed here with another couple w/c 10th march. Snow conditions on piste were ok and we could just manage to ski-in ski-out. If there is no more snow then a walk will be needed. The hotel itself was lovely. The decor was traditional alpine style and everywhere was clean and not at all shabby. Breakfast was lovely and varied and included a choice of freshly cooked fried, scrambled or boiled eggs, cold meats, cheese, pastries and fresh fruit. We were also offered latte or cappuccino as a coffee choice with no extra to pay. My husband used the sauna/steam room for which flip flops, towelling robe and towels were provided. The town of Arabba was very small and quiet with any apres ski happening in hotel bars. Evening meals were taken at the sister hotel. The salad and dessert buffet was lovely with lots of choice, however we felt they were trying to hard to be posh for the starter and main courses. Some were delicious others not so much. All in all the hotel was lovely but possibly a bit quiet for us.
