  Not friendly at all

  I had booked this hotel for my elderly parents and due to my late arrival in England we were unable to take our trip. Unfortunately this was the morning after the last date for cancellation. Booking.com and myself both contacted the hotel to let them know in case they could let someone else have the rooms. No reply was received to either email and I only had a standard email a few days later to say that I was a no show. This was not correct as both myself and booking.com had contacted them to cancel! I am not objecting to loosing the money, a considerable amount for a retired person, but to the fact that couldnt even be bothered to reply. Would never book here again due to their ignorant attitude.

  Cheap priced hotel - Get what you pay for

  We stayed at Chad Hill Hotel as a small family, paying a cheap price for our three night stay. We had a realistic expectation prior to travelling and the hotel was what we expected - cheap but clean & tidy. Judy is a fabulous host, and the bar in the hotel, whilst a bit dated serves value for money food & drinks. The rooms were tidy, and the room we slept in had comfortable beds, which had toppers fitted - but provided a good nights sleep for all. I would advise those people who are considering staying here to be realistic for what the cost is, I think it provides a good place to stay close to Sandown centre. Do not expect the Ritz for the price youll pay, but the hosts are great. There are negative comments about towel changes at Chad Hill, I asked for towels to be changed on day 3, and these were changed there & then, no issue at all, so just ask.

  Decent budget hotel in a great location but very dated

  Mixed review really . Lovely host in Judy who was friendly and ensured I got a bacon roll to go on the first morning of my stay as I had to leave before breakfast was served . Good room size but the smallest shower Ive ever come across . Im a size 12 and it was a struggle to shower in it plus the smallest bath towels ever !! Sink was in the bedroom but that was ok . Hardest bed and pillows Ive every had but got used to that on the second night . Clean but very old fashioned with a mis-match of furniture in the room. Parking on site but very limited so I parked on the road . Basic breakfast , no fresh fruit or yogurt and only offered white toast . Over all I did enjoy my stay here but if your looking to stay more than a couple of nights then maybe pay a bit more for a more modern hotel . The hotel needs to move with the times but cant fault the cleanliness and friendliness of Judy .. the only staff member I encountered .

  Had a great time breakfast is a great full English especially the fried bread bar meals very good value for money we had the meat ravioli in tomato sauce with best garlic bread ever tasted Judy is a brilliant hostess and they all make you feel very welcome home from home all ready booked for next yesr

  A lovely stay

  First time I've stayed there and hope to return again next year!. The single room was a bit "compact" but it was clean, tidy, comfortable bed and had everything I needed. Judy is a fabulous host, makes you feel at home. Nice breakfasts with plenty of choice. Good choice of bar meals and a lovely bar to spend the evenings in. A lovely traditional/classic-style family run hotel.
