  Lovely for Quick Stopover in Charlesville-Mezieres

  Wanted to spend the night in Bouillon, but there were no hotels available, so we stopped in Charlesville instead. Got here about 6 and had no problems booking in. Receptionist was lovely, and answered all my questions about further travel onward, and even activities for the night. She let us check out the rooms before we booked in, and we made a selection based on smell ( the first room smelled of bit of smoke, the second was fine.) room was clean, bed comfy, lots of english channels funnily enough. We were very content. Room was right on main road, but we had no issues. Lots and lots of bars were open nearby (within6 minute walk), and it was quite late when we finally ventured out of our room (pushing 10 pm). It was a Friday. But there indefinitely weekend night life. Headed out of town pretty quickly though after a yummy French breakfast as we felt our walk the night before was an adequate tour of the town. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay.

  Great hotel for a stopover

  We stayed at the Cesar on our way from Paris to Belgium. The hotel was well kept and the room was clean and comfortable. The lady on reception was very friendly and helpful even though we arrived just as she had closed the office. I would stay here again.

  Nice stopover location

  We enjoyed one night in a family room in this 20 room establishment. With a 64 EUR pricetag, this room was a bargain. We got a double bed and two bunk beds for the kids in a separate chamber. About 20 square meters in total and quite spacious. The hotel was clean and quiet. Fully recommended for a stop on your Road trip.

  OK for the price

  Our room was basically in the attic with only a window looking at the sky and limited practical use - you could only access the bed from one side - and I think the room had been smoked in despite being a non-smoking room and the bed was quite soft / sagged. The price for two was quite low though (equivalent to what we got)
