Fantastic!Had an absolutely brilliant time here with my husband and kids. Pool, Bar, Restaurant, Entertainment, Accommodation, Location and Facilities were all perfect. But the staff are really what makes this a great experience. The kids adored the entertainers and the rest of the staff were friendly, efficient and helpful throughout. We came away with several cards for friends and family and will be evangelising about this place for years to come. We will definitely be returning at some point as we still have so much to see around the area, there was just too much to do in 1 week. I Umbria

Amazing placeWe have just got back from nearly 3 week trip here. Absolutely amazing will be high on my recommendation list. the kids had a fantastic time, the setting in the lower campsite is beautiful. even with temperatures of an unusual 40 + we were all very relaxed. we had day trips to Florence, Siena, Purgia, but the castle on the hill on the other side of the lake was amazing and the beach there was sandy so a bit better for smaller kids. Stunning will defiantly book again to see more of this beautiful country.

Beautiful camping with a great teamThis camping is located in a beatiful environment very close to the lake. The camping has a nice pool and the tent pitches are quite large for italia. Biggest reason to give it 4 stars is the team of enthousiastic people that are friendly and do their utmost to give you and ypur kids a great time. And the kids dance at night is super!

Great location, very friendly staffWhile we were staying at another location in Umbria, a forest fire forced us to look for another place to stay. We were told that Cerquestra was a nice place to stay for families. When we arrived at Cerquestra, the staff was very welcoming and helped us out in a great way. During our stay all the staff were very friendly and helpful and always smiling and trying everything to make our stay great. The location of the camping site is perfect for day trips to Citta Della Pieve, Siena or Assisi. The pool is always clean and not too busy and it was great to start the day with a nice espresso at the pool bar. The animation team and in particular Cristina and Matteo are amazing with the kids. Thank you very much!

Lake Trasimeno campingThis campsite has various types of accommodation, including lodges of different sizes and styles and spaces for tents and motor homes. Many of the lodges have lovely views as do the pitches, because they are set on a hillside. Steep walkways make this place difficult for the elderly or less mobile. We stayed in three different types of lodge with family and friends. The quality of the lodges varied considerably. The facilities in the one bedroom older style lodge were outdated, and the lodge smelt damp. The more modern lodges were nicer, but the tv was limited in one of them and the other was lucky enough to have a sat box and more channels. Phone reception and internet worked intermittently. All lodges were somewhat cramped, even the one with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which would have been fine for a family with young children, but a bit of a squash for four adults. The shop on the site held limited stocks and the nearest supermarket was a drive away. The restaurant on the site only opened on our last day and it was hit and miss as to whether the bar would be open at the pool. The pool was clean and pleasant with nice views of the lake beyond. The poolside sun beds were very uncomfortable and although there were sunshades these could not easily be moved, so were not much use after 12 noon. The site was generally quiet apart from the Sunday night when a bar on the shore of the lake had very loud music until 1.30am which could be heard clearly from the site. The only restaurant within walking distance of the campsite that was open, just for dinner, was below the campsite, overlooking the lake. This was a lovely spot to watch the sun setting. The food was ok, but nothing amazing. When the campsites own restaurant finally opened the pizzas were good, but the desserts had obviously come out of the freezer, as they were still frozen inside. The limited staff who seemed to have to work in all areas of the site obviously worked very hard, to do their best for guests, but it was difficult for so few to run everything. If the reception was open, then the shop was closed as there were not enough staff to look after all areas. This was mid June, so apparently not yet the high season !!! There were other restaurants and bars in neighbouring villages, but we didnt find any really traditional eateries in the area. The people working in the campsite were very friendly and went out of their way to help. The site was kept clean and tidy although at the top of the site there were a number of derelict mobile homes. I believe this site has a lot of potential, but the restaurant, bars, reception etc all need to be open regularly and should serve food, snacks and drinks throughout the day. The shop should be well stocked. All accommodation units should be modernised to a high standard, to reflect the prices charged. The lake was very beautiful, but the public areas near the lake front were spoilt by people allowing their dogs to foul the grass and footpaths. A car was essential as there was not much close by and public transport limited.
