  Friendly place, good accomodations

  After a transfer from Corfu-Airport of 1,5 hours (they take the long way, along the coast and make several stops - but at least you get a nice view) we walked 10 minutes from the main road up hill to the Resort. A friendly welcome and quick check-in and we were in our apartment: clean, simple, basic. The pool looks great, but we preferred the beach which is at 15 minutes walking from the Resort. Breakfast is simple but complete. What we liked most maybe is how friendly everybody was - from the reception to the people working in the restaurant and bar, to the cleaning ladies - they all make you feel at home. The one time (first day) that we had lunch at the pool-bar, the meal was good and very reasonably priced. Although an apartment (the kitchen is very basic), they come to your apartment every day, either to clean the sheets, or the other day to change towels and remove the garbage. They offer a very nice in-house massage at extra costs. As the Resorts location is close to the main road (which you can't hear for a second), restaurants and shops are nearby.

  Definitely not a resort!!!!!!!

  Have stayed at this so called resort on the 20th of August for four nights. Resort is lovely as it is surrounded by trees and it is in a quiet area. Where to start from???????? Upon our arrival we were happy as we looked forward to this trip. Receptionist, has been very polite. We arrived in our room and we noticed that there is no dustbin in the room but the dustbin in the toilet! No shower curtain in the bathroom and no place to put our toothbrush and toothpaste. My husband placed his towel (in the morning on the 21st of August) at the side of the bathtub instead of hanging it. When we returned we noticed that the towel was still there!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Worst thing is after you finish your bath, towels awfully stink bleach. When our towels have been changed in after two days, bleach smell was on the clean ones again!!!! My husband has been drinking his nescafe inside the cups provided by the hotel. What happened was that for whole 2 days, room's maid never collected the cups from the balcony table and never replaced them with clean ones. My husband washed them. She collected my husband's cup on the 23rd after we complained. Maids shout since 8 o' clock in the morning. On the 22nd, I called the reception to complain about all these. What she understood of what I told her was only about the towels and she told me to go to the reception and give me other towels. She did not explain to me that there is no one on duty now to deliver to you the towels, I found out on Saturday morning by the receptionist on duty. Leaving the hotel I filled in a questionnaire with all my complaints and I have also written my email and have also informed the receptionist on duty. She was polite trying to do her best. I expected from a manager to contact me and explain the situation, I am still waiting since the 24th of August!!!!!! Honestly, I am very disappointed. The worst experience I had in a hotel and especially a resort. You are very unprofessional Century resort team.

  A quick week

  Just had a fantastic week at Century resort acharavi corfu what a place Lovely lush gardens 2 pools kids playground pool bar fantastic accommodation we stayed bed and breakfast which was very good and plentiful both hot and cold fresh Greek yoghurt... Jams.. Honey i could go on... Definitely come back

  Last minute booking

  We booked this resort hotel last minute through British Airways. We weren't sure what to expect but we're pleasantly surprised. Its a very clean & spacious hotel complex. Although our room was quite small with a strange shower. The shower head holder was about 6inches off the floor?? Not Easy to use when trying to wash your hair?? But we had excellent breakfasts with plenty of choices. The pool area was well kept even though the pool was freezing. I loved the bar area by the pool & the bar man was good. Sadly because of the time of year it wasn't that busy. The reception staff were very helpful. On a negative side a lot of the advertised trips were no longer going but they were still advertised. Overall this is a good hotel not fat from the shops & beach. It has great staff & lovely grounds.

  More of a 3.5

  If this was based solely on value for money it would definitely be a 5/5. However, it doesnt quite hit these standards across the board. Theres still plenty to be positive about - staff are friendly, our apartment was a bit old fashioned (we were in 307) but clean and nice, with air conditioning. The resort had a nice layout with lovely gardens and pool area. Breakfast was ok too with different hot/cold options each day. Pool bar was reasonably priced, with two happy hours each night (2 for 1 drinks). Having previously stayed a little out of town in Acharavi, it was also nice to be closer to shops/restaurants. Century claims to be 4 star but there are a few areas it falls a bit short of this standard: - our bathroom wasnt very nice. It wasnt dirty or anything; it was just really weathered with broken tiles, discoloured shower curtain etc. I think some apartments have upgraded facilities - ours urgently needs this! - Some of the towels should have been binned years ago - we had grey white towels that you could spit peas through. One of them actually had a rather prominent hole. On the upside, they are changed regularly. - If you are advertising 4 star, dont charge extra for a safe (15 for the week) when its in the room anyway! Overall, we enjoyed our stay and think we had excellent value for money. Just manage your expectations on the 4 star.
