  Great place for family at the lake

  We are a family of 5. 3 teenage kids. The apartment was really nice. Spacious. 3 stories. Confortable. Full kitchen. Well equipped. Fire pit outside. Only thing missing in my opinion is a washer/dryer in unit.

  Condos super!

  Great for families. Stayed 2 nights in a Condo--beautiful, elegant, clean and gorgeous. Had 3 bedrooms. Staff friendly and could speak English. Rented kayaks and hiked around the lake. Excellent bike trails and a sand beach. Loved this place!

  Great location, but...

  My brother and his wife and my wife and I stayed 3 nights in one of the two bedroom condos during a recent family reunion. The location was ideal, close to where we wanted to be. There are plenty of bike trails, a beach, a summer theatre, kids play park, marina on the grounds. The condo was well equipped with pretty much a full kitchen, 1 and 1/2 bathrooms and a small living room. We were on the ground level and had an outdoor table and fire pit. The beds however were not the best, with a sag in the middle. We felt a bit ache-y in the morning. My sister and her family stayed in one of the 3 bedroom units, a townhouse really, and we would choose one of those next. It was very new with a beautiful view of the lake.

  quiet calm in an industrialized area

  Pleasantly surprised by the range of activities available at this location in addition to large cleans rooms in a very quiet retreat. Fully stocked kitchen and bath tub that was very welcoming after long days of cycling. This is located right on the Velo route des bluets.

  Glorious base for exploring Quebec's Lac Saint Jean region

  Dam-en-Terre is a very pleasant family resort on the outskirts of Alma, one of the main towns in the Lac Saint Jean region. It's about 10 minutes' slow drive from numerous stores and restaurants. My wife and I rented a two-bedroom condo with large kitchen/living room area and a big patch of lawn, with a great view overlooking the water. All in, with taxes, this cost us $1,500 Canadian for a week and this was a steal. The insulation was such that you couldn't hear any of the other families at night, which had been my main concern before arrival, given that is is very much a resort for children. The condos are on one side of the small bay the resort borders with the beach and camping area on the other. The staff at the resort were super friendly and an added bonus is that Equinox Adventues, who rent out bikes and arrange cycling tours, were perhaps 45 seconds' walk from our front door. The condo was spotless and solidly built and we enjoyed several evenings out on the lawn, tending to the fire we'd built in the small brazier thoughtfully placed outside each unit. I cannot speak highly enough of this resort. We had a fantastic time.
