  A very decent place

  If you're by any chance visiting the city of Strumica, Central Hotel is the best choice. It is situated in the very heart of the city (just a minute walk to the city center), so you will find practically everything you need in a circle of 100m from the hotel. The service is perfect, and the rooms are very clean. You can't find anything better for this price in Strumica.

  We only spent one night here in Oct 16 on our way to Ohrid. The hotel had agreed to pick us up from the bus station which is on the edge of town as we arrived at night. The driver wasn't there, we waited and tried calling but there was no answer. Eventually we gave up and walked but without a map we got lost, with the help of locals we eventually found the hotel and the manager started berating us as he had sent the car. I immediately yelled back and showed him the phone number we were trying to call as based on our booking confirmation. He quickly calmed down when he realised they had given the wrong information. The hotel is in the centre of town and the room was huge. It was very worn and basic and clearly wasn't popular. It is expensive compared to the rest of the Balkans. The manager did arrange a wake up call and taxi which was good.
