A Great Anniversary GetawayMy husband and I were there to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We just had a night and day to get away, we appreciated being able to book a single night. There was parking in the back. Alex was a great host, came right out to help with bags, show us to our room and explain the amenities. We explained our dinner reservations and he gave us directions. We found we were so close that we could have a nice evening walk to dinner and back... it seemed that we were quite close to all we wanted to do. We had a beautiful room on the 3rd floor. I appreciated the evening ability to come and go as we pleased. Breakfast was served in a sunroom on the side with small 2 seater tables, which was a relief that we could have a bit of privacy yet still stay connected with the other guests. Alex made and served a lovely quiche, the best we had ever eaten! Then he kept the conversation light and cheerful as he attended to everyones needs. Checkout was a breeze. We would return and maybe next time we could bring the kids :)

Memorable, safe, clean, and entertaining visitMy wife and i stayed for one night in the Martha Washington room. It was quiet, safe and clean, and exuded old world charm, which is exactly what we wanted. My wife stayed up late writing and reading in the cozy room. Breakfast was delicious, and our gracious host Alex was a wonderful conversationalist! My wife and i stay in B&Bs all over the world primarily for the interactions with the hosts and guests, and we were absolutely thrilled to visit with Alex. in fact, we enjoyed it so much that we extended our stay and booked another night, in large part so that we could continue our lively discussion on a wide variety of fascinating topics - history, religion, theology, writing, education, and even the Simpsons! Where else can you get that variety of subject matter?

An Excellent TimeWe celebrated our 25th anniversary at this bed and breakfast in September. Alex was very accommodating and a great host! The breakfast quiche and waffles were delicious! Alex is a history educator who shared his knowledge of the Historic Williamsburg and surrounding area.

Loved it!We had a wonderful stay at The Cedars last week. My wife and I really enjoy staying at bed and breakfasts for the people we meet and the wonderful food. This B and B is super. The location is wonderful, an easy walk to the town. Alex is a wonderful host and good chef as well. He made breakfast with his humor and affable nature. We stayed three nights and wished we could have stayed another. We hope to return someday.

Wonderful tripWe had a lovely weekend at the Cedars of Williamsburg. We stayed in the Patrick Henry room, which shares the third floor of the house with one other room, so it's very quiet (as long as other guests are considerate, which they were). The decor is neat and pretty, and the room was clean. Alex, the owner, is very friendly, and seems to truly care about his guests' comfort and enjoyment of their visit. He was also kind enough to allow us to check in early! Breakfasts were delicious and filling! I'd recommend arriving earlier in the breakfast hourdue to covid restrictions, not all tables are available. When guests arrived after the tables were full, they were invited to take tea/coffee in the sitting room while waiting for a table to open up.
