  Unusual set up and the rentals are owned by private individuals so each one is different. Their web site shows the units that are available to rent and they are each different, We rented #209, a very basic plain jane unit. We always turn down the sheet upon arrival and the first thing we saw was a stain, and wondered what else we would find, not a good sign. The kitchen had the very bare basics to function if you could figure out how to use the stove top, ha. They replace the burner bibs with the wrong size so the burners do not fit as they should and cooking on the stove top was a real chore. I have attached pics. The refrig was old and rusting (see pics) The rug had a few stains on it As others have mentioned the office has very limited hours and when we were there the bar/restaurant was only open Fri-Sun night. Housekeeping comes only if you stay more than 3 days. It would have been nice to open the patio door to get the breeze but the screen doors are missing. On the positive side is they have good internet, the bed (mattress on slats) was comfy as well as the comforter. The unit has a dishwasher. The staff is friendly and helpful. Our ocean front unit was private and had a wonderful view, peaceful. They have an elevator for floors 2-3. Within walking distance of the Main Street, shops, food. Being on the dead end street eliminates traffic and noise, remote and quiet.

  So relaxing and convenient

  Condo 312. Staff very friendly and helpful. Condo clean and furnished nicely. We enjoyed the pool and sitting on the deck. View of the open water, the marina and pool. Easy walking to anything in town.

  Nice room, poor service

  I stayed last night at this property. First the good - the room was quite nice, on a corner with windows and a balcony on two walls, with a full kitchen. Now for the bad. When I reserved I asked for an early check in a 3:00 p.m. and the clerk said okay.l I got to the property at 3:00 and the office wasn't open. There was a sign which said "we're out doing landery" which was apparently the property's cutsey way of saying the office wasn't open (even though the main sign said it was open from 10;00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. I came back at 3:30 and 3:45 and still no sign of a clerk. Finally at 4:00 I checked in. The clerk didn't give me a statement and I forgot to ask for one. When I called down and asked her to Email it to me she said they don't use Email which is amazing in 2020. She did say I could come down and get a statement, she would be there until 5:00. I did, twice, the door was locked, as she was "doing laundry." I went on line to see the charges, the the $119 I was quoted when I reserved turned into $129 when I was billed. One last negative - when the tide goes out, the nice view out of my two windows turned into a hundred or so yards of mud flats. Cedar Key is a great little waterfront town, nice restaurants, bars and shops. You'll enjoy yourself, just stay at one of the many other properties on the key.

  This is our second time choosing to stay at Cedar Cove.

  We have thoroughly enjoyed our stays at Cedar Cove. We have chosen to stay in 312 both times because we enjoyed the beach theme and comfortable accommodations. This condo has a wonderful view of the water where you can sit and enjoy watching the boats come and go from the Boat ramp. The pool area was clean and has a grill that can be used for cooking out. We will definitely stay at Cedar Cove again.

  Dolphins

  It was great taking walks downtown and along the gulf. We saw dolphins from our room and along our walks! Lots of pelicans, Ibis, herons! There are close (driving distance) by trails with history information along the way. Had the Best clam chowder from Tony's downtown!!! People were very friendly but most did not follow covid guidelines. The people working at the resort were very nice but only had one of them follow mask wearing! The bed was lumpy but if you fit your body within the already formed indent it wasn't to bad, lol. The location is Great!! The room needs updates!!
