  Beautiful setting but didnt meet expectations

  Firstly I booked two nights at this establishment and was so looking forward to it but they cancelled stating that they had overbooked. Anyway, due to time constraints I managed on my own to secure one night after some searching. Anyway, I was told it was an upgrade to a winery Hidden on the edge of Bunbury adjacent to the estuary area this cafe has a great ambience and the food adds to this. The cakes are so tempting amd freshly made. Lots of seating and the view is lovely. . On arrival, the room was clean but dated. It had a very old tv which was on the right side of the bed so made it difficult to watch from the side of the bed. The area of the spa bath and toilet unfortunately does not have a door and I feel most couples irrespective of time together would love some privacy. The Caves area itself is a great location but I think there needs to be done refurbishing and thought. Also in the evening place is busy but they close all food outlets by 9pm which is very disappointing especially to customers . A suggestion for improvement here too.

  Comfortable and great location. But poor facilities and service. No value for money!

  We requested a quiet room upstairs with a balcony. On check in we were given a downstairs room, on top of the BBQ and Smoking area with no balcony! On speaking with the owner, Neil, he said there was nothing he could do, insulted my wife, told that it was our fault that we didn't get the room we wanted as we booked through booking.com and suggested we stayed somewhere else. Furthermore the 'apartment' was basic. Cheap thin toilet paper and tissues, no service, i.e. room wasn't serviced and no way of watching anything other than normal TV. A DVD player with no DVD's! No privacy so we couldn't have the shutters open. Whole place seems very tired and in need of a new owner/management.

  Would not recommend the outside Pizza

  Beer was warm. The outside area is lovely however the outside Pizza bar was a disappointment pizza was average and the service was poor. The meals coming from inside looked delicious. Will visit again to try the inside meals.

  Nice setting but service leaves a lot to be desired

  Outside pizza bar service & pizza quality very poor! staff more interested in their phones than us. Chef rude ,when we were asked how pizza was & we replied awful, he said hed make us another for $20 with a smug smirk! Pizza was terrible .. bland , sausage tasted like a butchers pork sausage cut into bits - sideways looks from the cook was unprofessional & tardy . Wont return !

  Fabulous!

  Had the best time. Food was amazing. Service faultless, and location stunning. Rooms are also immaculate. Lovely walking trails to enjoy. Pet friendly in grounds and outside eating areas. Can't wait to come back. It's now a favourite. If you want to relax and enjoy the scenery this is the place.
