  Hostal de paso.

  Es de lo mas barato que encontramos en Hat Yai, los empleados son amabilísimos. Cumplia su función de alojamiento donde pasar la noche, cama grande y lugar muy tranquilo. En nuestro caso nos pillo en pleno año nuevo tailandés y toda la fiesta estaba a menos de 1 minuto caminando lo que fue perfecto para nosotros. Si esperas estar mucho tiempo metido en el dormitorio, no es tu sitio.

  I would call it a prison, not a guesthouse

  This "accomodation" is probably one of the worst places I have ever stayed at, here are some of the reasons: - Smelly room - Hard as a rock bed - No sheets to cover during the night - Missing a window glass... so, very noisy during the night - Humidity on the walls - Dirty and dusty everywhere - The corridor looks like the one of the house from "The shining" movie, but without Jack Nickolson and with weird people - Disgusting Bathroom with the door full of paintings and comments of other travelers giving their opinion about how bad this place is... - The receptionist barelly speaks English - They have pictures downstairs showing images from totally different rooms that Cathay Guesthouse has... - Lack of hot Water If I were the owner of this place I would be ashamed of even advertising this place on websites like "TripAdvisor", "Booking" or "Agoda"... How could you offer accomodation like this on this condition??? Please look at the pictures I have attached... Do you think is that normal??? Does It cost a lot to you to just refurbish/repaint the rooms??? Avoid this place if you can and spend some more money for a better one, thats my advise

  Good for budget traveller

  Location near the travel agency shop. Easy access with tuktuk and grab taxi. Got a clean room with old fashion bed and floor. Towel and iron were provided. Squatting toilet. Overall, reasonable for the price given.

  Horrible

  Unless you just came out of the cave, this is simple terrible. Being in in hatnyai where hotels are cheap. This is simply unfforgivable especially for the toilet and the foul smell lingering in the air

  The Heaven For Backpackers or Budget Traveller

  1. This is the place where you can feel like home even you are far away from home. 1st of all, I am not referring to the place (includes deco, furnitures, rooms & etc) BUT I am referring to the people (staff, workers) over there. Ms Foon especially as she able to speak in English so it would be easy to everyone who doesn't speak Thai. The rest of the staff, a girl (long hair), a woman (long hair and always at the pantry) and not to forget there's an uncle (around late 40s) will be at the counter after 6pm till 7am in the morning managing c/in and c/out will try his level best to help you out while you are there **He can't speak english at all but his heart can speak the rest!! . 2. Room, Bathroom, Decoration & Furniture: I have nothing to complaint at all. I even appreciate the amount that I've paid. I can do shower, sleep, keep all my belonging at safe SO what else you'll asking for?! I am fully recommend you guys out there to stay here if you don't want to spend a budget for more than 300B/night. . 3. Professionalism, ethics and customer service. Once you step in to this place. Everyone one will greet you with smile & Sawat Dee wishes. Anything I've requested (hot water, mug. bowl, shower 7 hours after check out) being granted by 'em. As I mentioned earlier, they will try their best to assist you. I able to checked in around 9am and checked out around 12. My next bus to Don Sak pier around 9pm. The uncle (night staff) allow me to use their bathroom for me to shower & fresh up myself before grab my next bus. . "Amazing trip in Hat Yai, Amazing stay in Cathay Guest House & Amazing experience knowing everyone of you there." . CATHAY GUEST HOUSE IS MORE THAN EVERYTHING . KHOP KHUN KHRAP, JER GAN MAI KHRAP
